I grabbed Jamarcus and held him "please don't ever do that again" I said rubbing my fingers through his curly hair. "You literally almost gave me a heart attack."
"I'm sorry mommy" he said
"ah don't be so hard on the kid he got excited when he seen his uncle"
"Shut up Derek you aren't his uncle" I said snapping at him
"How long are we going to play this game ?" He asked sounding irritated
"This isn't a game Derek stop confusing my child"
He came down a couple stairs and sat down Lucas stood by me and watched him "Who is this ?"He asked "your body guard ?" He asked looking at me and pointing at Lucas.
I mugged him "No he's my neighbor"
He looked at my stomach and made a face "you sure ?"
"Fuck you Derek"
"Mommy" Jamarcus said looking at me like he was angry cause he doesn't like bad words
"Yeah mommy watch your mouth in front of my nephew" he said standing up
"DEREK HE IS NOT YOUR NEPHEW" I said yelling
"How far along are you ?" He asked
"None of you business" I said mugging him
"Who's the lucky guy ?" He asked "him ?" He asked pointing at Lucas
"No" I said putting Jamarcus down and putting him behind me
"Wait please don't tell me its Michael's" He said starting to laugh "can't believe your still with that man"
"Its none of your business who my baby daddy is and who I'm with shouldn't concern you" I said mugging him getting in his face
"Look mate why don't you just leave" Lucas said getting in front of me and getting in Derek's face
"Or what ?" He asked smiling "you gonna kiss me pretty boy ?" He asked
"Derek leave" I said
He looked at me for a minute and chuckled "ok I'll leave Jamarcus come give me a hug" He said
"No" I said moving Jamarcus back "leave" I said pointing towards the door
"Fine" he got up "I'll see you one of these days Marcus" He said before he turned away and walked upstairs and left
I looked at Lucas and grabbed Jamarcus hand and walked into my apartment
"Uh Leah who was that ?" Lucas asked following me into my apartment
"My ex best friend brother" I said looking at him worried
"Hey calm down" He said walking in front of me
"I can't that was a threat his going to try to take my baby from me" I said placing my hand in my forehead and sitting on the floor
"Not while I'm around" He said sitting next to me and putting his hand on my leg
I looked at him and moved his hand "sorry" he said looking at me. "It's ok" I chuckled
"I'm sorry mommy" Jamarcus said
"I'm not mad at you baby I told before Derek isn't your uncle so why would you do that Marcus ?" I asked him
"Cause I remember him mommy I've seen him before" he said sitting in between my legs
"Marc that is not your uncle" I said grabbing his face gently
