With a terrified scream, I ducked to the left. The creatures huge jaws snapped just where I was, a black liquid flying everywhere. I backed away from it, it's multiple red eyes rolled around, before looking directly at me. Gasping, I stumbled away. The creature coiled, it's head rising from the center like a snakes. It's long claws were pressed to its side, the black liquid seeped over them, and they seemed to melt away. It rose higher, before hissing (It sounded like gas escaping a tire) and launched itself in my direction. I was to slow, my life flashed before my eyes. My mother, my father, my sick twisted life. But suddenly, appearing from the shadows, a figure leaped at the monster, slashing a glowing blade across one huge eye, possible the pain one. It let out a noise like a thousand men screaming at once, and recoiled to the side, snapping its full attention to the attacker. It was a man, covered with a black trench coat, the hood hiding his face. Only his mouth was seen, his lips pulled back in a snarl, he gripped with such a force, that his knuckles were white. My body seemed to be made of stone, I didn't move a muscle. The blade was glowing blue, no....it was silver, it was covered with a blue flame. I watched the grizzly fight, never moving. The man hacked away at the monster, goo splattered the ground, and something that looked like blood, a sick dark, very, very dark, red color. Any time the creature tried to bite him, the man was always faster, ducking and cutting it's side. Finally, grabbing hold of its neck, he plunged the burning blade into its eye. Apparently having enough, the creature screeched, slithering backwards, before fleeing into the black trees. Panting, the man lowed his black stained blade (Even though the flame never went out, no matter how much liquid was on it.), he finally glanced at me. "Why are you here?" He hissed, glaring at me with golden eyes that seemed to burn as brightly as his blade. I quickly stuttered out a reply, "I-It was an a-accident, I didn't th-think...." I trailed off. The man laughed harshly, finishing my sentence, "Didn't think this place was hell?" I hesitantly agreed, looking away. "Th-thank you..." I finally spoke after a short silence. He snickered, "Of course. I never thought I'd see another human again...so I felt it was right to keep you alive." I glanced at him, "Who are you?" He replied with a snide comment, "I should ask you the same question." "Alright," I said, fully turning towards him, "My name's Y/n, now will you tell me your name?" He brushed off the question, "How'd you get here? There's only one portal to this place." I hesitated again, "Tell me your name first." He laughed again, "Fine, my name's-" A horrifying scream suddenly erupted around us. The gooey, black monsters spilled into the clearing. Cursing, the strange man didn't hesitate to act, throwing me quickly over his shoulder, and sprinting away. I watched as the vile creatures howled and gave chase, one knocking down a tree (Somehow). They were fast. Very, very fast. I found I couldn't scream, no matter what, I just starred at the black beasts. The strange man stopped suddenly, throwing me onto the ground. At least, I thought it was the ground. Instead, I was plunged into a dark hole, falling for what seemed like hours, this time, I found my voice, screaming almost as loud as the monsters were. Finally, rather abruptly, I stopped, hitting something soft. A harsh, "MOVE" was heard, before suddenly a heavy weight forced me to the ground. It was the man of course, he rolled off me, scrambling up, and grabbing my arm. I was pulled up, and he pushed me threw the dark room. I blindly let him do it, trusting him. At least, for now I did. Finally, I was shoved threw a door way, and after shuffling around slightly, he lit a match. Soon , he entire room was illuminated with fire. It was blue, creating a beautiful glow around the area. It was a cave, it was a splash of a coral color and a light brown, and different make shift house hold items were strewn around. A bed, a table, etc. The man turned around, smiling slightly, "Make yourself at home, I guess." I thanked him softly, looking around the cold area. "May I have your name? Now that we're safe?" He chuckled softly, grabbing his hood, and flipping it off. Instantly, golden hair, just as gold as his eyes, spilled from under neath it. They glowed in a strange way. The man, boy, was my own age, possibly a little older. Once again, he flashed me a dazzling grin, "My name is Brice."
