Y/n pov

I hesitated, staring into the dark landscape. "What are you waiting for?" Alex hissed, jumping slightly, "We're so close to freedom!" Shaking my head slowly, I looked at him, "I-I can't....I got a-away once...i-it ended badly..." Alex looked back at the house, it loomed dangerously over us. "Well, what do you want to do!? Walk back in and chill on his couch?" I looked down, "No...but he will find us...me." The boy glanced from the woods, to the house, "What if he kills you? Y/n, you have to think about both sides, yu could run away, and he could find you, or you could stay, and he could kill you."
"Either way, it sounds like I'm dead."
He went silent, looking through the front door, his eyes widened, "Run."
"What?"
"RUN!" Alex spun around, not hesitating to run through strait into the forest. I looked back, Ice. Something was wrong. Frost coated the area around him, sneaking up the walls, further away from him. His eyes were pure white. They held nothing. He didn't move, he just starred. Alex came back, grabbing my arm and pulling me with him. "There's no way I'm leaving you." He hissed lowly, pushing me in front of him. Suddenly, there was a loud crack behind us. Hesitating, I looked over my shoulder. My heart stopped.
The ground started caving in, spidery cracks chasing us, the ground shaking underneath us. Was it an earthquake? Or something more? Alex screeched suddenly. It made me stop, turning to see what was happening. I looked just in time to see the earth cave in, right below him. I gasped, lurching to grab his hand. I barely grabbed it. Alex, dangling above what looked like hundreds of feet. I grunted, trying to pull him up, the ground under my feet started to give way. "Just leave me." He yelled, "I'll just drag you down with me!" I shook my head, "N-no! I can't." He starred up at me, tears glistening his face, "I have nothing left to live for....this is the best death I could ask for. Run, Y/n, run as far as you can...you have so much to live up too." Alex forced a smile, "Don't let this be for nothing." Before I could react, he scratched at my hand, causing me to let go.
And he fell.
Alex was gone.

I trudged through the snow, wiping the tears fro my eyes. I was alone, once again, I was all alone. Alex died, just to save my worthless life. You have so much to live for. It was a lie. I had nothing. I was nothing. Innocent lives lost, and for what? A sudden harsh smell hit my nose, making me stop. It smelt like stuff was burning...
Smoke curled around the trees, the air got warmer. Alarm and panic raced through me, making my heart skip a beat. In a matter of seconds, flames licked against the trees. I screamed, stumbling back. The fire twisting in the air, gradually becoming a shape, a human shape. Long fiery arms stretched out around me, just barely ghosting over my skin, burning it.  I screamed, trying to get away. The being cackled, a dark, echoing sound. More burns developed on my skin. An ugly red against the (Skin color/shade.) The more I starred, the worst it got. The skin split, blood bubbling out. I screamed louder, falling down from the pain. Oh, the pain. The feeling of your skin slowly roasting. The skin started to melt off, the blood boiling. Suddenly, it all stopped, the world swirled, and darkened. A numbness took over, and my mind faded, I blacked out.

People speaking brought me out of the state I was in. A soft conversation. Groaning slightly, I stirred, shivering. The person went silent, carefully pulling the blankets farther around my body. Groaning softly, I opened my eyes, blinking slightly. I touched my face on instinct, but felt nothing but smooth skin. "Hello, Sweety." A kind voice said. I smiled slightly, sitting up, looking towards the voice. I gasped, my smile dropping, "D-daddy?"
