Chapter 1

Inside a room, an alicorn prince with a moderate sapphire blue mane & tail with a grayish perisan blue aura surrounding that acts like a flame, moderate cyran eyes, and a crescent moon on a dark purple background for his cutie mark named Prince Artemis who is actually Prince Solaris' brother was having a hay burger for his lunch. "Life's not fair, is it?" Prince Artemis said talking to his meal like he was talking to a pony. "You see, I...well, I..shall never be prince of Equestria." He exhaled, and said "And you...shall never see the light of another day." He chuckled, and said "Adieu." Before he could have his meal, Spike walked in, and said "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?" Prince Artemis sighed and said "What do you want?" Spike bowed, and said "I'm here to announce that Prince Solaris is on his way. So you better have a good excuse for missing the ceremony this morning. Prince Artemis suddenly sneezed, and his hay burger went flying out the window.

"Oh now look, Spike, you made me lose my lunch." Prince Artemis said. "Ha! You'll lose more than that when Prince Solaris gets through with you!" Spike said. "He's as mad as a hippo with a hernia." Prince Artemis pretended to shake in fear, and said "Oooh...I quiver with FEAR." Spike gulped as he backed up when Prince Artemis glared down, and moved towards him. "Now Prince Artemis, don't look at me that way...HELP!" Spike said as he tried to get away, but Prince Artemis quickly caught him, and used his magic to shape him into a ball. Before the prince had his chance to dribble the dragon, his brother Prince Solaris stepped into the room, and said "Artemis!" Prince Artemis looked at his brother, and said "Yes?" "Drop him." Prince Solaris said firmly. Spike looked at him, and said "Impeccable timing, your majesty." Prince Artemis turned him back to normal, and walked over to Prince Solaris. "Why, if isn't my big brother descending from on high to mingle with the commoners." He said feeling sarcastically overjoyed. "Celestia and I didn't see you at the presentation of Dusk Shine." Prince Solaris said in an angry tone.

"That was today?" Prince Artemis said faking astonishment. "Oh, I feel simply awful." He turned, and scraped the chalkboard on the wall near the door with a chalk while Spike cringed at the sound. "Must've slipped my mind." Prince Artemis said. "Yes, well, as slippery as your mind is, as the prince's brother, YOU should have been first in line!" Spike said. Prince Artemis glared at the dragon who hid, and said "Well, I was first in line...until the little horse was born." "THAT horse is my son...and YOUR future prince." Prince Solaris said as he look at his brother. "Oh, I shall practice my curtsy." Prince Artemis said as he turned to walk to balcony. "DON'T you turn your back on ME, Artemis!" Prince Solaris said warning his brother. Prince Artemis looked back at Prince Solaris, and said "Oh no, Solaris. Perhaps YOU shouldn't turn YOUR back on me." Prince Solaris growled as he teleported himself in front of his brother, and said "IS THAT A CHALLENGE?!"

Prince Artemis shook his head, and said "Temper, temper. I wouldn't DREAM of challenging you." "Pity. Why not?" Spike asked. Prince Artemis looked at Spike, and said "Well, as far as brians go, I got the pony's share." He looked at Prince Solaris, and said "But when it comes to brute strength...I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool." With that said, Prince Artemis spreaded his wings, and flew off. Spike sighed and said "There's one in every family, sire. Two in mine, actually. And they always manage to ruin special occasions." Prince Solaris shook his head, and said "What am I going to do with him?" "He'd make a very handsome throw rug." Spike said. "Spike!" Prince Solaris said chiding the dragon. As they went inside the castle, Spike said "And just think! Whenever he gets dirty, you could take him out and beat him!" Prince Solaris just chuckled at that suggestion. Meanwhile in a small hut, Zecora finished a painting of Dusk Shine. As she finished the mane, she said "Dusk Shine." Zecora smiled, and went back to work.
