Chapter 15

While the fighting was going on, Dusk Shine looked around, and he spotted Prince Artemis trying to get away from the fighting scene. He chased after his uncle who ran for his life. He ran to a cliff near the castle, and he was cornered. Dusk Shine jumped to the other side, and walked slowly towards Prince Artemis as he said "Murderer." "Dusk Shine. Dusk Shine, please!" Prince Artemis said nervously. "Please have mercy, I beg you!" "You don't deserve to live!" Dusk Shine said coldly. "But, Dusk Shine, I am...ah...family!" Prince Artemis said unsure of his tatic. "It's the siren ponies who are the real enemy! It was their fault! It was their idea!" Adagio Dazzle, Sonata Dusk, and Aria Blaze overheard what Prince Artemis said, and they glared coldly as they backed away, and growled in anger. "Why should I believe you?!" Dusk Shine asked as he looked down at his uncle. "Everything you ever told me was a lie!" "What are you going to do?" Prince Artemis asked. "You wouldn't kill your own uncle." Dusk Shine shook his head, and said "No, Prince Artemis. I'm not like you." "Oh, Dusk Shine, thank you." Prince Artemis said. "You are truly noble. I'll make it up to you, I promise. How can I, ah, prove myself to you? Tell me, I mean, anything."

"Run. Run away, Prince Artemis." Dusk Shine said with venom coming out of his mouth with each word spoken. "And NEVER return." "Yes. Of course." Prince Artemis said as he started to walk away while Dusk Shine glared down at him. "As you wish...YOUR MAJESTY!" He suddenly then kicked a pile of hot coal in Dusk Shine's face, and he yelped in surprise, and in pain. Then, Prince Artemis jumped on Dusk Shine, and tried to pin him down, but he fought back even harder than he ever had before. They began firing magic spells at each other with all of their might, but then Prince Artemis managed to knock Dusk Shine down. He leaped in the air to finish him off, but, using the trick that Twilight Sparkle had taught him, he threw his uncle over the edge, and he crash-landed on the ground. Dusk Shine looked down at Prince Artemis who struggled to recover. He looked up to see Adagio Dazzle, Sonata Dusk, and Aria Blaze glaring at him as the approached him. "Ahh, my friends." He said in relief. Adagio Dazzle scoffed, and said "Friends? I thought he said we were the enemy!" "Yeah, that's what I heard." Aria Blaze said smirking. They looked at her, and said "Sonata?" "Let's kill the traitor!" Sonata Dusk said. "Yes." Adagio Dazzle said. "Let's." Aria Blaze said as she, Adagio Dazzle, Sonata Dusk, and the other siren ponies started closing on Dusk Shine's uncle.

Prince Artemis began to panic as he said "No. L-L-L-Le-Le-Le-Le-Let me explain! No! You don't understand! No! I didn't mean for...no! No! Look, I'm sorry I called you...no! NOO!" As the flames went up, the siren ponies tore Prince Artemis apart, and his soul was sent to the moon, and a face was carved into it. Suddenly, the rain started pouring down, and doused the fire. As Rainbow Blitz and Bubble Berry approached the group, Dusk Shine went down to greet his friends, family, and subjects. Spike, and the ponies bowed before him. He then hugged Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle. They heard rattling, and they looked up to see Zecora motioning him to ascend as prince. Dusk Shine started his way up, and he went up to Zecora who bowed to him He hugged her, and she hugged back as she said "It is time." Dusk Shine then went up on the platform as his friends, family, and subjects stared in awe. Once he reached the top, he looked up at the sky, and he heard Prince Solaris's voice that said "Remember." Dusk Shine, and as his horn started to glow with magic, he said "I am Dusk Shine! And the magic I carry inside of me is...the magic of friendship!" He then used his magic to turn himself and Twilight Sparkle into alicorns. Then, he used his magic to restore Equestria to it's former glory.

The farms were growing food, and schools and businesses were restrored. The crowd cheered as they looked up at their new rulers of Equestria. Rainbow Blitz and Bubble Berry did a victory dance while Spike waved at the pony crowd. Prince Dusk Shine and Princess Twilight Sparkle hugged each other. Then, Zecora went up to them while holding a light, magnetaish gray with tinges of pale light graysh fuchsia coated baby alicorn with a light cerise, grayish violet, and light artic blue mane, and light opal eyes named Flurry Heart. Prince Dusk Shine and Princess Twilight Sparkle smiled as Zecora held their newborn daughter in the air, and the circle of life was finally complete.
