The next morning, I limped down the stairs. Thanks to the stick, I could walk better. My ankle doesn't hurt as much as yesterday, maybe I could recover in a short time. There are still no signs for returning to the modern world. Got locked in here forever, I thought.

I realized my stomach started to growl since I haven't eaten anything last night. I feel extremely hungry so I followed the wonderful smell that leads me to the kitchen. Achilles was preparing some eggs for breakfast.

"Good morning Alessandra." He greeted. I wanted to help, but he refused. "Don't worry. Have a seat. I can handle it."

Achilles then handed me a fresh plate of scrambled eggs and a piece of bread, also a mug of milk. He didn't have breakfast with me because he got something urgent to do. Being a mentor is always busy. I sighed after he left. I'm all alone again.

A while later, I went out for walk though Achilles told me to stay in. You can't do anything in the homestead. I just finished discovering it after having breakfast. Most of the rooms are locked. I really want to enter but Achilles will definitely kick me out of here if I dare.

I wandered around to the training camp nearby. Hope noticed me coming.

"You must be Alessandra! Liam just told me about you." She smiled and we shook hands. "I'm Hope Jensen. It's nice to know you."

Hope is such a nice person. She and Liam took me around the camp and showed me some drills they usually do.

"Since we're waiting for Shay, would you like to try doing some?" Liam asked. "Don't worry about your ankle, they won't be too intense."

"Me?" I was surprised. I know I had no combat experiences, but the miracle that happened when I got threatened in the forest doubt it. Now I'm not very sure about this thing.

I thought for a few seconds. "Sure... why not?" If I could understand more about the Brotherhood by doing so, why not?

"Very well." Liam then handed me a wooden sword. "Try to defence yourself and fight back. You can use your stick to support you." He explained.

My jaw dropped wide and my mind went blank.

"Y-you call this... 'not intense'?" I finally managed to talk again. This has gone insane. "Hope, don't you think that this has gone too wild?" I glanced at her, hoping she will defend me.

Hope said nothing. She just smiled and continued to watch the play. I felt disappointed about it.

"Oh com'on!" Liam urged. I could see his desire to beat me up.

I rolled my eyes at him and get into the attacking pose. I have no idea what should an "attacking pose" look like, so I imitated the pose that you usually see in action films. I'm going to loose anyway. Never thinking of taking it seriously.

Liam attacked me first. The strange thing happened again. I started to wield the sword without mind-controling my hands. I blocked the attack and strike back. I can't move too much so most of the time so I defence myself from his fierce attacks.

Liam has advantage from all points. He's an skilled assassin  that has tons of combating experiences. And he isn't injured. After attacking back and forth for a while, my sword got bounced off. Though I lost, I'm still surprised that I could continue this duel with him for such a long time.

Liam pointed at me with the sword. He grinned proudly because of the victory. But he didn't see the shadow behind him.

"Not so fast, you fool." I returned a sly grin. It is Shay who stands behind him, ready to destroy his victory. Hope stayed silence as usual, watching this play till the climax. I nodded at Shay. We are ready to strike out together.

I raised my stick and swung as hard as I could, aiming at Liam's ankle. He groaned and held his leg. Shay then gave him a hard slap on the head. Loosing the balance, Liam fell on the ground, aching.

Hope giggled.

"That wasn't necessary!" Liam cried, clutching his head.

Shay helped Liam to get up. He also slapped him as a revenge.

"Sly enough." Liam joked.

"You shouldn't pick on the weak, though," I mocked back, "Learned a 'precious' lesson then, didn't you?"

"Indeed. It was also a nice duel."

As we were playing around, Achilles appeared suddenly. He saw everything we did. We didn't even notice him earlier.

"Great skills, Alessandra." He praised instead of scolding me being outside. "All you need is more training. Feel free to join us when you are ready." He left after giving me a pat on the shoulder. Leaving the four of us astonished.

"Does that mean I'm introduced to the Brotherhood?" I whispered at Hope, maybe I'm just being naive, but I really I wish I am.
