A strange feeling came upon me. I woke up but I didn't know where I am. This is not the Morrigan that I used to stay. Light doesn't exist here, it was total darkness. I wandered around. What is this place?

"Alessandra!" A soft laugh of a woman came across the space, "How naive you are!"

"Who are you?" I questioned, "And where am I?" I turned around but saw nothing.

"That's not important," she giggled as a gleam of light started to glow in front of me, "as long as you are here."

"What do you mean?" I asked. The light started to form the shape of her.

"You have to save the Brotherhood, this is your destiny." She answered, reaching out her arms.

"You brought me here, didn't you?"

"Indeed, my dear." I could see her smile, "You have so much potential to do such things."

"What are you talking about?"

She didn't say anything. She came near me and hold my face with her glowing hands.

"Say something! Or else take me back home!" I yelled, "You don't have the right to take me here!"

"Finish your part, then I shall do mine." She answered, "Remember the words I had spoken. Now you shall return to your fellow assassins." She covered my eyes with her hands. I closed  them because her hands sparkle.

"What are you doing?" I questioned, fearing that she'll take me to else of nowhere.

"To the North Atlantic you would be," her voice began to fade, "find Samuel Smith and retrieve the precursor box..." She disappeared after speaking her last words. I remain still in the darkness. Why did she take me here? What does she want from me?

"Alessandra! Alessandra!" I opened my eyes when I suddenly heard Liam calling my name, "Hey! I called you a lot of times, what were you thinking?"

"No... Nothing..." I smiled awkwardly at him. Actually I have no idea where we are specifically, "Where are we now?"

"Near Smith's camp, I suppose." He scratched his head and answered.

"Liam," I called him, "I would like to recover the precursor box, could I?" I somehow feel responsible for it. Maybe it's the desire to contribute to the Brotherhood gave me the feeling.

Liam looked surprised with his mouth wide open. He doesn't really want to accept it neither turn me down.

"I'll keep her safe if she wants to do it then." Shay yelled from behind, "She is skillful enough, isn't she?"

"If anything happens to her, you will be responsible for it." He pointed at me then at Shay, "If I were you, I won't risk this. You have to know this is serious, not a game." He added.

"Don't worry, Liam. I won't let the templars harm her." He promised.

The ship couldn't get too close to the camp or else the templars will detect us. So we anchored near the shore and rowed a boat to reach the dock. I could see the red coats patrolling from sea, they are a lot more than in Washington's mansion.

Shay wanted to come with me, but I told him to stay and wait. I believe I can handle this though he seems worried without his accompany.

"I'm fine by myself, Shay. Didn't you just agreed?" I told him and set off alone, finding my way in the camp.

The camp is located between two high cliffs. There is also some plants to hide. I move under their cover, stabbing the soldiers one by one. Some guards had noticed me as I approached the main tent closer and closer, but I was able to handle them before drawing more attention.

There are no bushes to hide near the tent, but there is a tree which its branches can lead right above Samuel Smith. He won't notice me comming above.

I lean on the branch and pulled out several throwing knives. I pointed at the targets and take aim. When I strike, they fell down painfully. Apon seeing his soldiers fall, Samuel Smith finally realized my existence. He raised his sight.

Farewell.

I leaped down, pushing the dagger deep in his chest. He look at me, shocked, as the precursor box rolled out from his hands while falling on his knees.

"No!" He squealed as I pick the wooden box up, "Do you even know what that is?"

"The precursor box, full of the wisdom from those who came before. I wouldn't have taken it if I hadn't known what this is." I smirked.

"Then you shall know... child... Some of the greatest scientific minds in all Europe could not... make it... work... " He spoke weakly, swallowing his last breathe.

I looked at him, he lied still on the ground with his hand covering his chest. I bent down and close his eyelids.

"Rest in peace, Sir. You had done your part well. The assassin's should finish the rest."

I turned back and started to leave. Following the previous route to meet Shay at the dock. After taking a few steps, I heard a bang, then a piercing pain on the left shoulder. I groaned and turned back. A guard lied on the ground with his rifle in his hands. I didn't get him. My knife was on his shoulder, not in the throat.

I ran at him and kicked his rifle away before he could load another bullet, drawing out my dagger and placed it near his throat. Though I ended him quickly, but the awful pain is still there, I could barely move my shoulder. I don't even  know if I can make the way back. Plus, more guards will arrive here when they heard the gun shot.

I ran in the bushes as I see more and more guards comming. They started to look around, yelling that the assassin should be near.

I have to get out of here.

There are three smoke bombs in my patch. I held one in my hand and looked straight. The road is clear, there are no guards in front if me. I sprint out from the bush, bearing the pain with my teeth clenched together. The guards behind saw me and started to yell. I turned and threw the first smoke bomb at them, creating the distance successfully. The second one made its effects as well.

After throwing out the third one, I run beside the cliff to reach Shay and the boat. I was so close, but a gunshot let me fell. It didn't get me, but it flew in front of me and made me lost my balance. I rolled and tried to push myself up but I couldn't. I'm out of energy and the wound is loosing too much blood. I'm terrified, thinking that another bullet will come straight and end me.

But I was wrong. The captain of the guards stood and raised his hand. They circled around, with swords and rifles pointing at me. I backed up slowly until I touched the cliff. I rest myself back and stared at them, they looked back at me furiously.

The captain step out and commanded, "Assassin! Hand out the box and surrender!"

I took out the box from my robe and showed it. "This? You mean?" Then I put it back and smirked, "What will happen if I don't?" I know I can't get out of here anymore, but I will never surrender.

"If this is what you wish..." The captain raised his sword. I closed my eyes and wait it fall, my journey finally ends here. But after a few seconds, nothing sliced me in half.

I peeked out and saw someone familiar in front of me.

"Shay?!" I wispered. He stood up straight.

"Sit tight. Just hold on for a moment." He said and drew out his swords. I watch him fought bravely, but at the same time, I feel my robe soaked wet. There isn't much time left. I am loosing too much blood.

"Shay!" I called him weakly as he killed the last guard around us. He helped me to stand up.

"Take this. Smith is dead." I pulled out the box and handed to him. I can't hold myself anymore. My eyelids are heavy and I feel so tired, I just want to have a good sleep.

I crushed in his arms and put myself into forever darkness.
The last thing I heard was his call of my name.
