Chapter 6

Lizzy woke up in the middle of the night around 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning.

She got out of bed to ask a nurse for a glass of water, she was wondering down the hall then she ended up at Dr. McGray's room. She went to walk in but started to listen to their conversation

The McGray shook her head " No. I don't care, I'm going to call child services" Shane shook his head and said " Why would you call them ?" McGray tried no tot yell and said " They left their daughter like they didn't have one, we treat her better than they do, we have to do something." Shane shook his head and said " How long has she been here?"

McGray had to think " Ummm.... I think about three days." Shane said " They still haven't came got he? Your right call child services." McGray nodded and put the baby to sleep and grabbed her phone to call child services, Lizzy was in shock so she turned around and went back to her room.

She sat in the chair next to her bed and looked out the window and cried.

She didn't think her family would just leave her behind for three days sometimes it would be one or two hours but they always come back. She felt that they didn't care for her, like they didn't know they had a daughter.

They just forgot about her.

The next morning she woke up and yawned, she opened her eyes to find McGray and Shane sitting on the bed while hold Gaby.

McGray giggled and said " Well, good morning sleeping beauty" Lizzy giggled and yawned again and said " Good morning you guys and you brought Gaby." Shane nodded and said " Yes, why did you sleep in the chair?" Lizzy looks at Shane and says " umm I woke up in the middle of the night and went to the bathroom and I made it to the chair and not the bed." McGray nodded not believing Lizzy, she looked closer at Lizzy and said " Have....have you been.....crying?" Lizzy shook her head and said " No....no I haven't, I'm fine." She didn't have the heart to tell them that she cried her self too sleep.

They knew that she cried herself to sleep but they just didn't know why.

McGray shook her head and changing the subject " So you want to with us to get some breakfast?" Lizzy shook her head and said " No, I'm just going to stay here for a while" Shane and McGray nodded and walked out the door , McGray turned around to see Lizzy looking out the window and wiping away tears.

McGray shook her head and walked to the cafeteria with her family but she was still sad about Lizzy, she didn't know what was upsetting her and she wanted to stop it.

Shane saw how upset McGray was, Shane sighed and said " Hey....uh I'll be right back okay?"

McGray nodded and watched him walk off.
