Chapter 11

During Lizzie's surgery, Connie and Frank sat in the waiting room.

Haley walked into the room and saw them and walked over and said " You guys can't be here. You have no rights anymore remember? Connie, Frank, you guys are not her parents anymore. So you have to leave, I'm sorry."

Connie stood up and looked at Haley with tears in her eyes " Please, just a few more minutes, please"

Haley sighed and said " 5 more minutes then you have to go."

Then Shane ran into the room and goes to Haley and says " Come on, you have to come!"

Haley was confused " Why?"

" Because, she's coding" Connie and Frank stood up and watched Haley and Shane run to the O.R.

After a couple minutes later Haley come sighs in relief and Connie and Frank, Jessica walks over to Haley.

Jessica said " What happened? I heard she coded."

Haley was about to say something but Connie cut her off " What does coding mean?"

Haley looked at Connie " It means her heart stopped, she was dying but we got her back and they are all done with the surgery."

They sighed in relief that she is going to be okay " Connie, Frank it's time to go" they nodded and grabbed their things.

Connie looked at Haley and said " Tell Lizzy that we're sorry" Haley nodded. Connie and Frank left the hospital.

After a couple of hours, Lizzy woke up in her room to see McGray, Shane, Gaby, James, Kelly, Emily, and Jessica in the room.

They fell asleep waiting for her to wake up.

Lizzy looks around and doesn't see Connie or Frank she thought For once in my life they gave me something that I really want.....freedom and a better life.

She leaned her head back on the pillow with a tear rolling down her face then smiled.

McGray woke up and looked around the room and saw everyone asleep then looked next to her and saw Shane holding Gaby then smiled.

She looked at up and saw Lizzy smiling and crying.
