Everyone sighed in relief. Connie went to hug Lizzie, but her child backed away. Connie looked at Lizzie with concern and asked, "What happened to your knee?" Lizzie remained silent and refused to look at her parents.
McGray sighed and said, "She fell trying to get out of the hospital." Shane and McGray helped Lizzie onto the bed and Shane said, "She has to get the scratch looked at before she leaves." Lizzie groaned "Great. They have to stay here longer." She looked at her parents. "Why don't you guys get out of here and out of my life?" Lizzie asked accusingly. McGray looked at Connie, Frank, and Jessica and said, "Maybe you should wait somewhere else. Connie and Frank, you should really talk to Jessica about... the situation. Lizzie can't live like this anymore."
They nodded and walked out the room. Orthopedic Surgeon Kelly walked in.
