Chapter 5

Normal POV

As Mai open her eyes she saw Naru hovering over her with both of his hand next her head. If someone were to walk in they would think that both Naru and Mai were about to kiss.

"Oliver-san, what are you doing?" Mai asked without showing and emotions in her voice. The old Mai would have turned fifty shades of red if she were to be caught in this position with Naru.

Naru got off Mai and looked at her neck; she too followed his gaze and found a silver cross around her neck.

"I was merely putting on that cross on you; it is for your own safety Miss, Taniyama. I have not other intentions what so ever" Naru said as he turned around to walk out of the room.

"Well Thank you for your concerns" she too got up from the bed and was about to enter however she was once again interrupted by Naru's voice.

"Oh another thing Miss Taniyama, we will share this room and that include the bed and this arrangement cannot be changed" a smirk was clearly visible on his face and with that he exited the room and did not wait to listen Mai's opinion on the arrangement.

Mai's POV

That...that jerk, how dare he make me share a room let alone a bed, what is his problem. He was the made clear that he did not need anything with to do with me. Now he is making me share a room, why not other SPR members. Hmmmmm whatever, I don't care. I entered the bath room to proceed with my routine. The interior of the bathroom was quite impressive, it has a massive bath tub, and the floor was tiled in white and small chandelier. I peeled of my cloths that was covered with sweat and my own blood and dipped in to the bath tub. It was very relaxing and it helps to ease the tension in my body.

So what happened to me, my research showed that the Alps are less likely to attack people on day time however the Alps in this estate are attacking people regardless of the time. What could this possibly mean? Could it be.... no that cannot happen so the only option is that there is barrier around this house which allows the Alps to roam around the estate even in daylight? I have to confirm this.

Normal POV

Mai got out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her small body. She noticed Naru as she got out, but he was looking at his black folder where he normally keep his notes, Mai went in front a wardrobe which was fitted with a mirror. She opened her door of the wardrobe and took her suite case out to look for her change of clothes. What she didn't notice is that Naru looking up from his book, he closed his book and approached Mai who were standing if font the mirror and inspecting the cloths.

"Mai", she looked up to the mirror to see Naru behind her.

"What is it that you want Devis-san" she replied without facing Naru, but she was sure she was going to breakdown if she look at him now and the situation is very awkward.

"What do you think you are doing" Naru asked "you cannot just walk around half naked in front of a man"

"I thought you were outside, besides I am not naked, imagine I am wearing a dress, and now you can go back and give me my privacy and space" Mai shot back, still not looking at him. Seeing this Naru held her shoulder and forcefully made her face him.

"No Mai, I cannot do that"

"and why is that Devis-san" Mai shot back.

"Because Mai, I too have hormone and if I were to see a girl I like in the state you are in now, I will react. Mai to be honest I don't know the things that I am feeling but I know one thing which is I need you with me, at least until I figure out this state of mine. So please Mai, be my old Mai and come back".

"I don't understand Oliver- san"

"Mai don't play this game with me"

"I still don't understand" Mai said

"Call me Naru"

"....."

"Mai I said call me Naru"

"......"

"Okay then let's see if you can say my name" with that Naru moved close to the Mai and pinned her between him and the wardrobe "Say my name Mai" he whispered in her ears.

"s..s..stop"

"Not until you say my name" with that he stared in to her eyes.

"N...N...Naru let go of me now you big jerk"

"See that wasn't hard" with that he let go her and went back to his seat to look through his notes "Mai tea".
