Everyone looked at each other for a second in hesitation and took off running to the source of the sound. It took them a good two minutes to get to the attic where they met Lin and John.
"What's going on?" Naru asked
"I'm not sure, but there was a major temperature fluctuation here a couple of minutes ago" Lin replied still looking around the room in each for the entity the roams the house. All they could see was antiques piled up in a corner.
"We'll go back to the base now and see what we can do and investigate further" Everyone started to go down the stairs and enter the base.
"Mai, where is the Child?"
"Oh, I completely forgot about him when we went up the stairs, let me go and get him now" with that Mai exited the room and went to the kitchen.
Couple of minutes later
They heard a scream from the kitchen which was unmistakable from Mai which made everyone leave the base hot on their heels. As they entered the kitchen they saw Mai standing like a statue with a wide eye. They looked at the direction that she was looking at and saw a horrible scene which would be scared in to their mind forever and even Lin seemed taken back.
All they could see was small creature crawling in through the window. They looked deadly with their claw like finger nails, glowing red eyes that screamed various emotions and danger. They were surrounding the chair that the baby was placed on. It was a situation that no could approach the child without causing harm to themselves.
"What are those?" Ayako asked in horror "they look gross, they could at least take bath before surprising people like that"
"I always say that you" Monk replied
"It not time for bickering, do whatever to keep them away from the child. Now go" Naru.
Monk started chanting his prayers while Ayako started doing some warding spells to keep the creatures away from the child.
"But Ayako's first question has validity which is what are these creatures?" Yasu asked while trying to move a bit close to John who was doing his own rituals.
"I believe these are Alps that you were talking about, but they look different from the records that have been written on them. I think it is because of that they were resurrected with dark magic" Lin said.
"Something is coming and its powerful" Masako said covering her mouth while leaning on Naru. "Naru, it will be here any minute now" her voice was shaking in pure fear. Naru looked around the room to see were Mai was and he could see was her exiting the from the kitchen in to the hallway.
"Mai, where do you think you are going?" Naru said still calm.
"Well someone need to stop that thing and anyone in this except Naru and Lin can't do it but they don't know what the entity is; which leaves me to fight it so that's what I'm going to do" with that Mai went completely out of sight.
Naru shrug Masako off him and went after Mai "Lin take care of things here; I know what we are dealing with. Make sure bring the baby down to the dining hall in 10 minute" with that Naru left.
All Lin and other gang members could do was to watch Naru's shadow disappear in to the darkness. Soon Naru found Mai Standing in the middle of the living room and she was surrounded Alps. The Alps looks violent and blood thirsty. Crimson colored liquid was oozing from their finger nails which would only mean one thing that the Alps have started to feed on blood and Flesh.
"Are you hurt Mai?" Naru asked
"No, but what are you doing? Do you know what you are dealing with?" but Naru didn't have enough time reply as the Alps lunged at them in full force, but suddenly everything froze, except Mai and Naru.
"I wouldn't let you harm these people" a women's voice echoed throughout the house
"Finally, after century's you showed yourself. Let me see you clearly" Replied another voice.
A light was radiating from the center of the living room; as the light traveled further inside the house the house was being cleansed of any other entity that was present. now standing in the middle of the room is women; one might call her a goddess. She was the prime example of beauty,kindness and light. The house was engulfed in silence.
"You must be Tanamura-san " Naru broke the silence.
