Normal POV

It was like an anticipating silence, like they are waiting for something to happen or someone to scream in agony. Suddenly the house was filled with the sudden noise of glass being shattered. The SPR gang was surprised by sudden noise; however Naru was on the move to see what had caused disturbance in the dead silent house. He moved at a fast pace while his heart was throbbing painfully against his chest. Anticipation was clearly shown in his eyes however his face was indifferent. As they approached Naru saw a body, more specifically Mai's body. As soon as he reached her he examined for any bleeding as well as he checked her breathing. Fortunately there was no damage to her other than a small scratch on her upper arm and her breathings were steady. The rest of the SPR ran up to him to see as young women on the floor lying unconscious.

"Naru, what's going on?" the monk asked "who is she?"

"She is the other investigator that I was talking about" Naru said as he picked her up bridal style "Besides Lin didn't I tell you to send your shiki to check for any disturbance, how come this happened?"

"They did not notify me of any malice disturbance in the house" Lin replied.

Naru carried Mai in their bedroom and laid her on the queen size bed as rest of the SPR followed him inside. Naru was about go and get the first aid box however he was interrupted by Masko.

"N...Naru isn't that Mai?" she asked as her voice shook at the site of her once acquaintance. She laid there with pail skin however she was sure that Mai was breathing normally. The rest of the SPR looked at the unconscious girl that's lying in front of them.

"You are right, it is Mai" Monk whispered.

"What is she doing here?" Ayako asked to no one in particular.

"Good Lord, she looks as pale as a ghost, what happened to her?" John asked Naru.

"That is what I would like to know. One day I come back and no one knows where Mai have disappeared to. It surprising that no one recognise her when you first saw her, if I don't know any better I would have said you have neglected her at some point after Lin and I left for England" Naru said anger clearly in his voice. He walked up the closet and grabbed the first aid box and cleared Mai's wound.

Monk was about reply to Naru however it was cut when the door to the room slid open as Yasu and Madoka entered the room.

"I think Naru is right, none of us were bothered about Mai or her well-being after Naru left. I am not criticizing anyone even I my self is to blame, however Mai considered us as her family and once Naru and Lin left no one tried to get in touch with her. For Christ sake we didn't even know she was missing until her land lady contacted me. So we don't have anything to defend our selves with" Yasu said. Everyone in the room was stunt by he said.

"You know he is right?" Ayako said as guilt visible in her eyes. Monk kept his silence; he used to tell everyone that Mai was his sister however he neglected her he too was filled with guilt. John and Masko kept silent through this ordeal. Naru broke the silence

"What are you doing here? You were supposed to arrive tomorrow"

"We got all the information about this property as well and the slightest of the idea what is the entity that's in the house" Madoka said. "Can we get to the base so we can tell you what we found?"

Everyone moved out of the room as they followed Yasu and Madoka to the room. Naru was the last person to leave the room, before he left he gave a last glace to Mai as he closed the door.

Everyone settled down in the base and Lin took his place in front of his laptop so he could update the information regarding the case.

"Ok, let's start and ladies prepare your selves to be cheeped out" Yasu said earning him curious look from Ayako and Masako. "The property this house is built up used to be a part of the forest that now around it. However in the 1650's this area of the forest has been cleared by a foreigner named Albert Bone. Of course he had to get permission from the government in order to clear this land and the records say that he comes from Germany. As you can guess this house was built by Mr Bone for a special purpose. I tracked back in time to get some information after the house was built and fair enough I found some solid evidence which suggest that Mr Bones used to do black magic to summon Alp" Yasu stopped to kook around, than he continued "According to the data that we found an Alp is a half elf and half vampire. It likes to suck blood from animals and it is mischievous towards humans. According to the information we gathered, it also has the ability to shape shift, which means that it can take form of a human or an animal. Well anything living you could say. Moving on, even though the female Alps are mischievous they do not cause any damage or harm to people, however the male Alps are complex creatures. How can I put this...hmmm... lets seeeeeeee... ha! They can be well you can say perverts towards females" Yasu stopped.

"What do you mean by that Osamu-San" Naru asked.

"Coming to it, the Alps like to meddle with people's dreams which may lead people to startle awake at night. Their favourite food is milk so the female alps drink from the diary animals and the male ones drink from human women's" Yasu said.

"WHAT!!!!!!!! What do you mean?" Ayako yelled and looked at Madoka. She had her head down and Lin looked surprised by the new information.

"What Yasu meant is just as you are thinking, they like breast milk so they attack women to get it. If one was to wake up to see an Alp could tell them to come back in the morning for a tea and they would do exactly that."

"Obedient isn't it" Yasu said "My conclusion is that after Mr Bone died the Alps did not have a master so they made this house theirs and when the humans tried to demolish it they reacted to it" He concluded.

"Say Yasu, how could we protect our self" Masako asked

"Good Question. All you have to do is to have a streel cross on you all the time and we have prepared it for all of use and we brought extra two just in case now we can give one for Mai" Yasu concluded his speech.

"Speaking of Mai do you think she was attacked by this Alp" Monk asked.

"It is a possibility; however we can't be sure until she wakes. And as I said every female here should also be accompanied by a male. Am I making myself clear to everyone? And Madoka, Yasu did you find how to exosise this Alp" Naru asked.

"No we haven't. We are still looking in to it. I believe it wouldn't be too long before we find some answers to that question. I am tiered please someone show me to my room" Madoka replied. Lin got up leading Madoka and Yasu to their bedroom. Followed by the rest of the SPR. When Naru entered his room he saw Mai in the same position as he left however her colour has come back. He approached Mai and lifted her head to put the steel cross necklace on her, as he did she steered in her sleep and began to open her eyes.
