Chapter 12

"I'm bored" Jai whined

"Yeah, what are we doing today?" Beau added

"I don't know! Why are you looking at me?" I stated. Luke looked at me.

"I think we should spend the day together." He smiled. I blushed and smiled a toothy grin.

"I wouldn't mind spending the day with you, Laura." Beau looked over to Laura.

"Sure, why not!" She shrugged

"Well, that leaves you two." I pointed to Jai and Megan. "What are you two going to do?" Jai glanced over to her.

"We could go somewhere I guess" Megan suggested

"Okay" Jai smiled looking a little excited

"So, let's go!" I shrieked, we all ran to change. I slipped on my white denim shorts, and a t-shirt with my favorite band on it, Imagine dragons. It looked kind of purple. It was one of my favorite shirts. I rushed downstairs with my light brown rainbows in hand. (My shoes) "you ready?" I asked Luke.

"Oh yeah!" He replied "let's go!" We jumped in the car and drove. We went to some ice cream place. He got plain vanilla, and I got strawberry. As we ate, we walked down the street hand in hand. "So where'd you go yesterday?"

"Oh, I went to meet Finn for coffee." I mumbled

"Oh right! How'd that go?" He questioned

"It went." I shrugged

"That's not good." He walked me over to a park bench and sat down next to me. "What happened?"

"He tried to apologize for what he did to me..." I sighed

"What exactly did he do to you?"

"You don't know?" I looked up at him

"No, no one's told me anything"

"He cheated on me, twice. And got my best friend pregnant. She was the one he cheated on me with, and I had to help her through her pregnancy."

"Oh, I'm so sorry" he hugged me. My throat felt knotted. It was hard to swallow. "You know what you need? A good night out. To forget about him, and just everything."

"Okay" I smiled "tonight"
