"Luke!" I whined, as he dragged me through the streets of Malibu. "When are we going to stop and eat?! We haven't eaten anything since 12! It's 6:00, now. I'm about to stop following you and just go eat at that McDonalds."
"We're almost there, I swear." He quit dragging me, and he turned to face me.
"I thought we weren't going anywhere? You said you gave up on this whole thing." I kicked at his feet.
"I may have changed my mind.." He smiled, looking down at the ground.
"Really?" I smiled.
"Yeah." He looked me in the eyes. "I just couldn't let you down, I mean I told you there would be a treasure hunt, and you were so excited. I just changed my mind." He smiled.
"I love you." I kissed him on the cheek.
"I love you too." He smiled at me. "Now let's go eat, we're almost there." He took my hand, leading me around the corner to a small run down restaurant. We headed around back to a small table on a dock overlooking the ocean. We stood side by side looking at the table with a lily in a vase right in the center.
"Wow." I paused, to take it all in. "This is a lot, considering its only our one month anniversary. I mean imagine what you'll do on our one year anniversary! Damn."
"I was expecting something more along the lines of, 'Wow Luke, this is absolutely wonderful, thank you so much. I love you. You're the best boyfriend ever.' And then a hug, and kiss, and who knows what else." he nudged me.
"Riight" I laughed at him. "That would be kind of odd if I said all that, considering I don't act like that, like at all. This is still amazing though. I do love it, and I do love you, a lot."
"I love you too" he smiled. "Here." he pulled my seat out for me. I sat down taking caution of my dress, brushing it under me so it would lay flat.
"Did somebody order a five star restaurant meal for two?" I heard someone say in ridiculously bad French accent. Beau walked in, he was wearing a dress shirt and a bow tie with jeans and converse. He was also wearing a weird mustache, kind of like the one he wore in the 'Skipping Mockumentary' video.
"Fancy attire you got on there." I said, mimicking a southern accent.
"Hey, I'm just supposed to serve the food." Beau laid down a dingy silver platter with two plates of spaghetti on them.
"Who made this?" I asked both the boys.
"We did." Beau said. "Well, I did. Luke helped, some.. I guess."
"HEY! We supervised!" Jai, James, and Skip jumped out from where they were hiding around the corner.
"When did they get here!?" I asked Luke.
"They set this up." he laughed and gestured to the lights hanging above us and to the table with a brand new white table cloth on it. I could tell it was new because it still had the price tag on it. Dumb asses.
"Oh.." I said looking around. "okay, but just as long as you leave, eventually."
"Fine." They all sighed, turning to walk home.
"I think I like this better than a fancy treasure hunt." I smiled, starting to eat.
I'm not finishing this :)
