Chapter 13

Back at the house

4:00 pm

"AHH!" Megan and Laura squealed.

"Really?!" Laura asked

"Yeah! Luke said we were going to a party tonight!" I replied

"When are we going!?" Megan questioned

"Around 8:00..." I said, I looked at the clock "Shit! We better get ready!" We all went our separate ways. I ran into the bathroom and curled my hair, nice and bouncy. I laid out my party outfit, which was a one sleeved white thigh length dress, and my best pair of dark red heels. I went back into the bathroom and did my makeup. Which consisted of black eyeliner, mascara, very little grey eyeshadow, and red lipstick to match my shoes. My lucky red lipstick of course, but I don't think it's that lucky anymore. I wore to meet Finn for coffee...and that didn't end to well. I put my clothes on, and I went downstairs. I looked at everyone; they were sitting on the couches and chairs in the living room. Luke turned around to look at me. He quickly got up to meet me at the bottom of the stairs. He took my hand.

"You look gorgeous." He told me in awe.

"Stop it," I playfully hit him on the chest. "But thank you" I gave him a kiss on the cheek. "So where exactly are we going?"

"We haven't decided yet.." Jai said, reaching for Megan's hand to hold. Hm, I guess something happened. That's exciting.

"Well, I heard there was going to be a party tonight at Jonathan's house." Laura grinned, Johnny (Jonathan) was an old friend of ours when i lived in California. "crashing a party sounds like my kind of night!" We all laughed.

"Okay sounds like a plan!" I said "Laura you're driving, since you thought of the place." I tossed the keys to her. She caught them and we all crammed out the door.

We ended up at some famous persons house. We couldn't find Johnny's house.. so we decided to find some random party. The house was amazingly huge. There were tons of people. We walked in, you could hear the music boom from at least a mile away. It was really loud and dark. There were a few lights like party lights and strobe lights flashing.

"Wanna dance?" Luke pulled me to the dance floor. We started doing the weirdest dances ever. It was pretty fun. "You want a drink?" He yelled over the loud music.

"Sure!" I tried to shout back to him. He returned with two red plastic cups full of who knows what. I started to drink it. "What is this?"

"I don't know I just poured something!" He took a sip out of his cup. We started to dance again but this time we were up against each other. I had no clue what was going on, I'm pretty sure we were drinking alcohol. Like beer or something.

"This is my favorite song!" I screamed as they started to play slow down by Selena Gomez. I wrapped my arms around Luke and sang along. "I just want to feel your body right next to mine. All night long baby, slow down the song" I gave him a look which was probably the alcohol in my system talking, considering I've never had a drink before. He pulled me closer, not that we could get any closer, and kissed me. It was hard and passionate.

"I'm so sorry!" A guy yelled. He had just dropped his tray of Jell-O shots on my head. "I got pushed, I'm so sorry" he started to pick up his tray.

"You're fine!" I look over to Luke "I'm gonna go I the bathroom to clean up, I'll be right back." I kissed him one more time and I stumbled my way to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror, my face was a mess. My mascara was running from the shots, and my eyeliner was smudged. I cleaned off my face and all the jell-o in my hair. As I left the bathroom I ran into Jai. "Hey Jai!"

"Oh hey Maddie!" He said

"Where's Megan?" I asked

"I don't know I lost her!" He was kind of close, and his breath smelled like alcohol. "But I'm glad I found you" he looked me in the eyes, "I've wanted to tell you something, for a while now."

"Okay, go ahead" I kind of backed away.

"I think I love you" you could tell he had definitely been drinking, a little too much perhaps?

"Jai, you've been drinking" I tried to back away. He pinned me against the wall and started to kiss me. Once again I tried to pull away, but I got sucked into it. He's actually a really good kisser. The kiss lasted about a minute, until Luke broke it up.

"What the hell is this?!" He shouted "you've resorted to kissing my brother?" He looked at me and then to Jai.

"It's not what it looks like!" I started to explain "he kissed me, I tried to pull away!"

"It's true! I'm sorry, I kissed her first" Jai added

"Whatever" he walked away, but I grabbed his wrist.

"Luke," he pulled away before I could say anything

"I don't want to hear it." He stormed out the door.
