Telling him

Riley's POV

Since I found out about the baby, I've been thinking. What if Lucas and I got married sooner. We could have a small and simple wedding. We don't need a cake and everything, I just need Maya, Farkle and Lucas to be there. As long as they're there then that's all I need.

"Hey Maya, how long does it take to plan a small wedding?"

"I don't know, maybe a few weeks." Maya replied

"I've been thinking, what if Lucas and I got married sooner. Because with the whole baby thing, I would have the baby a while after we get married. Do you think Lucas would want to get married sooner?"

"Calm down Riles, you haven't even told him about the baby yet. You should tell him that fist and then talk about the wedding." Maya suggested

"I guess so."

"So, when are you going to tell him?" Maya asked

"I don't know, when will be a good time?"

"Uh, now is an amazing time." Maya said while grabbing my phone

I just looked at the phone petrified, I can't possibly tell him now. Maya grabbed my hand and put my phone in it.

"Riles, don't be afraid. Everything will be ok." Maya said

"But what if it's not? Maya how will I tell him that I'm pregnant?"

"You just do, ok? Just tell him!" Maya exclaimed

"Ok....."

I dialed his number and waited for him to answer.

"Please don't answer, please don't answer!"

"Riles! Calm down!" Maya yelled

"Hey Riley." Lucas said

"H-hi, Lucas."

"My mom says "hi." Lucas replied

"Tell her I said "hi" back."

"I miss you Riley." Lucas said

"Yeah, I miss you too."

"How are you? Is Maya staying with you?" Lucas asked

"Im good,how did you know Maya was here?"

"I know you'd invite her, or she invited herself." Lucas laughed

"Yeah, I-uh-Lucas."

"Riley, are you ok?" Lucas asked

"L-Lucas?"

A year trickled down my cheek. How am I supposed to tell him?

"Riley what's wrong? Please tell me Riley!" Lucas said

"L-Lucas, I'm-I'm pregnant."

He didn't answer right away, I was getting nervous. He wasn't answering, it must've only been a few seconds but it felt like forever.

"Lucas, please say something!"

"Riley, it's amazing!" Lucas exclaimed

"R-really?"

"Yeah!" Lucas yelled

"I was wondering if we could get married sooner so we could have the baby after our wedding."

"If that's what you want then, yes!" Lucas said

"So when do you want to get married?"

"What about two weeks after I get back?" Lucas asked

"Yes! When do you get back?"

"The day after tomorrow." Lucas replied

"Ok, I have to go. Maya has the look that she wants to tell me something."

"Ok, bye. I love you." Lucas said

"Bye, love you too."

He hung up, I put my phone on a table and hugged Maya as tight as I could.

"Thank you Maya."

"I would do anything for you Riles." Maya said

I just stood there hugging her. She was the best friend anyone could ask for.
