Autumn Leaves

I'm walking through the park
And the autumn leaves
Are falling
And a few
Are golden-brown
And orange too.
There are leaves
Of every hue.

I'm walking through the park
And the autumn leaves
Are falling
On the ground.
They are dry
Crisp and browned.
If I pick one up
Then I have found
That if I straighten up
And look around-

I'm walking through the park
And the autumn leaves
Are falling.
Through the trees
A little rabbit
Quickly flees.
And from a hive
The honeybees
Start to buzz
And then would cease...

For I'm walking through the park
And the autumn leaves
Ripple as the eagle
Slowly flies away.
Then darkness falls
And night claims day.
The fireflies
Come out to play
And I can smell
Cut grass and hay
And apples fall
And roll away.
The smell of chestnuts
Makes me stay....
The cool autumn wind
Has had her say.
The autumn leaves
All blow away.

But I'm sure they'll come back some day.
