Chapter 21- Learning (Sasha)

"We're not going in there," Markus said.

"Yep they look busy and also let's agree not to talk about this with them," I said tightly.

"Agreed," he said whole-heartedly

We decided to wait ten minutes before returning by which time the two were sitting with a mouse chatting and we made sure to knock.

"Hey we were just talking to Jerry here," Charlie chuckled.

"Like the-" I said before being interrupted by a wild chorus of squeaking.

"Yes like the cartoon mouse," Charlie translated impersonating the heavy-hearted tone the mouse used making everyone giggle and the mouse chatter.

"So I see you've gained control over your animal communication," I said.

"Absolutely in fact I can block them out altogether now thanks to Harp," he said affectionately. He never called her that before looks like cupid had been firing some arrows!

"It's all good Charles. She howled.

"Charles?" Markus asked with a snort.

"For Gods sakes," Charlie groaned.

"Yep his real name is actually Charles," Harper snickered.

"Well looks like we've made more than a few discoveries today," I teased.

"Yes now what do you want," Charlie or should I say Charles growled.

"Okay no need to get testy I just thought of a group activity which could unlock a lot of new possibilities for us. It won't take long." I informed.

"Fine," he said shortly.

"Sure," Harper said perkily.

"Let's go," Markus agreed.

"Right okay this task is very simple to discover all our capabilities we need to first find what they are all centred around and I don't just mean the theme I mean the emotions, the dark past and anything else you have buried deep."

"Wow that sounds easy," Charlie groaned sarcastically.

"Well clearly my theme is the death," Harper sighed.

"Actually I don't think it's that simple see I could say my powers are themed around the bubble but I thought about it and none of them have a physical aspect so I think it actually might be more to do with the mind." I declared.

"Right like mine might not be all about healing," Markus said.

"Exactly when summoning the next ability you need to focus on the theme then bring up all the darkness you've experienced and balance it with the light."

"How do you know all this," Harper asked.

"I don't know sixth sense or the fact that I'm the first of us I'm not really sure."

"Great the biggest revelation we've had based on a hunch," Charlie said.

"Hey Mr me against the world can you be a little more positive please," I huffed. "All you have to do is go away and try it think about those points it's not that difficult."

"Okay," He grunted. The other two nodded and we went off to practise.

I already knew what my theme was since I seemed to have a mind over matter approach to powers so I decided to watch the others try to figure things out.
