Stefan POVI had awoken again for about the hundredth time. I started to thrash around still kicking at the safe door. I could feel my lungs filling with water while I was gasping for air.
It felt like hell, dieing over and over again. I could feel my lungs started to burn and I could feel myself dieing once again.
My eyes started to get heavy and my body getting limp until I couldn't see anything.
Suddenly, I was standing next to the window looking outside to a beautiful meadow with blue, yellow and pink flowers growing. I have made up hallucinating conversation in my head so I could have something to do.
"Turn it off, Stefan" I heard a voice behind me. I turned to see Damon with his arms crossed over his chest.
I furrowed my eyebrows while Damon rolled his eyes. "Come on Stefan, you won't feel any pain at all it will take away you misery" He said walking closer to me. "So turn it off"
"Stefan?"
Both Damon and I turned our heads to see Elena standing there with her arms crossed. "Don't listen to him Stefan" She said. "You stronger than that. Only weak people turn off their humanity, you are stronger than it"
"Elena I can't-" I started but Elena interrupts me.
"Stefan, you can get through this. I know you can" She said with her big dreamy brown eyes. "Do it for her" She added.
Suddenly I was back to reality and I was once again awoken again still gasping for air. Sure this was hell but I knew I could turn off my humanity, because I feared that I wouldn't be able to put back on. I'm doing this for Elena and Maggie.
Maggie POV
I watch as people layed flowers on my mothers grave while I sadly smiled with tears in my eyes.
It had only been a week since the fire. Carol Lockwood helped with the funeral and she gave me a place to stay too. I have tired to call Stefan but he has never answered, same with Bonnie. I knew Bonnie have been spending the summer travelling with her mother, but I haven't heard from Stefan since the night of the fire. Damon and Elena said that he left town because he was still upset that Elena had gotten with Damon, but he never said goodbye to them or me.
Since Bonnie and Stefan were away, I have gotten closer with Caroline, Tyler and Matt. I have working more hours at the Grill to try get my own place, Matt says I'm working too much but I knew I had to make a living for myself. I have trying to sneak drink into my room at Tyler's too but one night Tyler caught me. He said that I was better than this.
I don't know how many people have I said sorry for me, most of them I didn't even know. "Excuse me, Maggie Peterson" I heard a voice behind me. I turned around to see a buff man in a suit with an envelope in his hands. "Your mom left this for you in her will and also some money which we have already put in your bank account" He said while handing me the envelope.
"I'm sorry for your loss" The man said. "Thank you" I replied while he nodded and walk away. I looked down at my hands while gripping the edges of the letter.
I felt hands on my shoulders. I turned my head to see Carol with teary eyes and a sad smile. "Ready to go home?" She said while I nodded.
