It's 2:00 am and I hear a knock on the door. Kehlani is sleeping next to me. I don't want to wake her but I'm a little scared. Who's here at 2:00 am?
I walk over to the door and I hear another knock. I look through the hole and see Gerald standing there.
Shit I think to myself, what does he want? I open the door and look to see him standing there.
"Dev." He says sounding like he's been holding his breath.
"What do you need Gerald it's 2am."
"I-I know I'm sorry I just got back and really needed to see you."
"Well?"
"Can I come in?" He asks.
I move away from the door and let him in.
"Dev, look I was so drunk I didn't even know where I was. I am beyond sorry, I know I can't take it back but I want us to move on. I know it's not going to be easy but all I'm asking is that you try. Please Dev, I need you in my life."
I look at him and the words coming out of his mouth don't even seem like him. I've never seen Gerald like this before. Ever.
"Say something, please."
"You put me through hell you know that?"
"I know baby and I'm so sorry I was going through hell too. I hated myself for what happened. I just wanted that tour to be over so I can talk to you in person."
I just want to cry right now I want him back so bad. I want to be in his arms. But I won't let him have me that easy.
"I am not going to look stupid again Gerald."
"You won't baby it won't happen again I swear. I just need you in my life. I regret what I did everyday since it happened."
He comes closer and closer. God I just want no, need his lips on mine. He lifts up my chin making me look up at him.
"I love you Devon." He says then kisses me passionately. Oh god this feelings amazing. This is all I need. I missed him so much.
As we kiss I feel tears down my cheeks.
"Oh baby no don't cry I'm here now and I'm never going to leave."
"Don't make me regret this Gerald, please."
"I won't baby girl I promise."
