Not What It Looked Like pt.1- Liam Dunbar

"How is it possible that you get more beautiful each and every day?" Liam told me

Liam and I have been seen each other for quite some time. He is friends with my brother Stiles and his best friend Scott.

"Quit it, we have to study," I said, my face turning a bright red

Liam and I met because of Stiles and Scott. They are mostly here every weekend trying to figure out information about my dad's work cases.

"C'mon (y/n), you know that you are beyond beautiful!" Liam said giving me a peck on my cheek

"And you are as sweet as can be," I said returning the kiss.

Time passed. We finished studying and it was time for him to go. We both walk downstairs to find the house empty.

"Stiles? Stiles, where are you?" I yelled, but no answer

"Hey look, there's a note on the table." Liam pointed out

The note read

"I'm with Scott. Had to run down the station to meet Dad. Be home late, don't wait up. Love you and stay safe. -Stiles"

Ugh. Well, this is great.

"Hey." Liam said putting a strand of hair behind my ear "would you like me to stay the night?"

I was debating between the answer. Stiles would go crazy if he knew Liam spent the night with me. But, I hate being alone. What the heck.

"Sure. But are you sure you don't need to be home?" I said with a little guilt. Stiles is going to kill me if he finds Liam here in the morning.

"Of course. I wouldn't like to leave you all alone at night."

*the next day*

Stiles drove me to school. The ride was this awkward silence. We got to school and found Liam by the entrance.

"I know you stayed last night with (y/n)." Stiles said to Liam "This is a warning. If you do anything to hurt my little sister I will make this a very personal matter."

Liam was pretty much speechless. How did Stiles know he spent the night with me.

"I promise I won't hurt her in any way. I really like her. I would do anything to make her happy." Liam said with a serious look.

"I might be 147 pounds of pale skin and fragile bones, but I would kill if you or anyone hurt my little sister"

"Point taken, Stiles. Don't scare him off." I said with a laugh

"I'm just putting out there," he said with a smile

It was 6th period. I was waiting for Liam to walk through the door. On cue, he walked in and sat in the empty seat beside me.

"Missed me much?" he said

"Not at all. Maybe just a little." I'm really lucky to have this boy in my life.

"Hey, are you going to the lacrosse game next Friday?"

"Yeah. I'm not going to miss the first season's game."

"Class, we have a new student joining us today." Mrs. Martin said "This is Hayden Romero. Please make her feel welcome."

The new girl looks very nice. I turned to Liam to find a blank expression on his face.

"Is everything okay?" I asked him

"Yeah. This was just the last place on earth I would expect to see her."

The new girl sat in the empty seat beside him. She was giving Liam a smirk. I guess they go way back.

*A few days later*

Liam's P.O.V.

Today was the first game of the season and Coach has us practicing non-stop. We are playing Devenford Prep my old school.

"Focus on the game. Put all your anger towards the game. We can't afford to have you start the season on the bench." Scott said

"All right."

"Okay team, great practice today. Go home, grab a bite to eat, and come back to kick some Devenford but." Coach Finstock said

As everyone walked to the locker room, I decided to stay behind.

"Hey Liam." a familiar voice call me

"Hayden.? What are you doing here?" I was very confused

"Can't a friend, come to watch a friend practice?" she said with a smirk

"What I recall from the other day, We aren't friends."

A few days back she got vengeance by sticking gum on my seat when I wasn't looking.

"It was an act of payback. You owe me since 6th grade"

I don't want to get into the details of 6th grade... But they weren't pretty.

"Look, Liam, I haven't admitted this. But I like you." Hayden said

I was caught off guard when she crashed her lips onto mine.

"Liam!"

I heard (y/n)'s voice crack when she said my name. I turned around to see tears in her eyes.

"(y/n) please let me explain. It's not what it looks like." I said stepping a little closer to her

"Don't you dare come close to me."

She left, leaving me with Hayden on the empty field.

*Later that day *

(Still Liam's P.O.V.)

I made my way to (y/n)'s house, after putting together what I wanted to say to her.

She was getting out of her car and walking up the porch steps.

"(Y/N), can I talk to you please?"

"I'm busy, can you please leave me alone," she said

"Just give me a chance, it's not what it looked like.."

I need to apologize and explain what happened. I promised I wouldn't hurt her in any way, but I did.

"I really don't want to talk to you right now."

"What are you doing here?" Stiles said

You can tell he was angry

"I was just trying to talk to (y/n)."

"Well as you and I can see. She really doesn't want to talk to you right now."

"C'mon Stiles..." I was cut off.

"I think it's best for you to go.."

"Stiles, I really didn't know what was going on. Hayden kissed me, She caught me off..."

"As I said before, I think it's best if you leave. I'm only going to tell you this one more time. Don't mess with my sister."

Stiles was furious. And I understand why, I hurt his sister, and I broke the promise I made to him. I just can't take a grasp of what happened.
