"How could you?!" I couldn't believe it

"(Y/N) it's not what it looks like, we were studying and ..." He said before I cut him off.

"I came to your house because today was a special day for us. And this... This is what I get? I'm so stupid!"

I can't believe it. Every girl expects a romantic night with their boyfriend on their anniversary. I didn't get that. My surprise was finding my boyfriend cheating on me. I'm so stupid! Why didn't I listen to Lydia when she warned me about him.

"I'm sorry, babe this wasn't supposed to happen. I love you ..." he said while trying to come a little closer to me.

"Don't come close to me. Just save your apologies. We're done!"

I walked out of his room and made my way out the door. I could hear him calling my name behind me. I got into my car started the engine and locked all the doors.

"(Y/N) please listen to me! I never meant for anything to happen. Listen to me, I love ..."

I didn't want to hear it anymore. I drove off leaving him standing on the side of the street. I need to go to my special place. I don't care what time it is, I need to clear my head.

"Welcome to the Beacon Hills Preserve" read a sign that could be seen at the entrance. Before getting off the car, my notification buzz went off.

Lydia: "How was it? Tell me everything!"

Me: "You were right about him. I should've listened to you and seen it sooner."

Lydia: "Uh oh, what happened? Come over? I'm here for you!"

Me: "I'll stop by tomorrow. I just need some time to think."

Lydia: "All right, text me when you get home. Just to let me know your safe."

I need to take some time and think. The night was crisp cold, the full moon was the only light in the woods.

My thoughts were swarming around in my head. How could he? What did I do to deserve this? Why didn't I realize it sooner?

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard someone whimpering in what seemed in a lot of pain.

"Who's there?! I shouted

It got very quiet for a moment until I heard someone say "Over here!"

I followed in the direction the voice was coming from. I came to a stop, then found whom the voice belonged to. A boy who looks to be 17 with curly hair. He looks familiar. I see he has injuries on the left side of his rib and a few scratches on his upper arm. Blood was oozing from each wound.

"Oh gosh, how did this happen to you?" I said taking my scarf off and kneeling down to put pressure on the wound.

"I was just going for a walk, and something attacked me," he said wincing at the added pressure to his wound.

"I should call 911, or take you to the hospital," I said reaching for my phone.

"No, it's fine. I'm okay, it's just a few scratches," he said with a nervous tone. "I'll be fine."

"Can I at least help? I have a first aid kit in my car. Can you walk?" I can't just leave him here with open wounds.

"Thank you. Yeah, I can try," he said trying to get up from where he was. "I'm Isaac."

"(Y/N)" Wait, I have seen him hanging out with Lydia's group. I tried to help him up. I lead him to where my car was. With a push of a button, I opened my trunk to get the first aid kit. He sat down to rest himself on the edge of my opened trunk.
