Hiiiiii. Okay, so I want to apologize for my absence. I lost my job and just recently I enrolled in classes to be a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant for those who don't know what that is). I've been super busy but I would really like to finish up this request and a few others that I have. I feel incredibly guilty for making y'all wait SO long for this! At the moment, my computer is broken and I can't get it fixed until Monday, so I decided I would write on my phone. So please bare with me if there's any typos. My phone tends to correct me quite a bit. Lol.

Without further ado, lets get on with the story!

A few months had passed since I caught Noah in the act of cheating. He never did come back for what was left of his stuff, but I couldn't get rid of it just in case there was a chance he would eventually come home to get it.

Home. Who am I kidding? This isn't his home anymore and to be quite honest, I've been questioning if it's even mine anymore as well. I don't know where I belong anymore.

As I lay on my bed, my mind is swirling with memories of my happier times. I thought of Scotty and I, how happy we were together. How inseparable we were. I smiled at the thought, but then I was quickly overcome with sadness. I knew there was no chance for us again.

I thought of Noah. Part of me was glad he did what he did because I didn't feel as close to him as I did with Scotty. I never would've imagined he would cheat on me though. That tore a brand new hole in what I had left of my heart.

Would I ever be happy again?

My thoughts were interrupted with the vibrating sound of my phone. I reached over and grabbed it from my bedside table, answering it after looking at the caller ID.

"Hey." I softly said to my best friend Cassidy.

"Girl, are you still moping?"

"I'm not moping Cass, I'm just fine." I lied.

"As your best friend, I can tell you're not. You've got to get over him hun. He's a no good piece of trash and you deserve way better than him."

"I am over him." I lied once again.

"Nope. You're lying. Shall I come over with a giant picture of Noah's face to use as a dartboard?"

I laughed. "It's fine Cass. Really. I'll be fine."

"Alright, but that would seriously be amazing to use his face for target practice." She laughed.

Cassidy has been my best friend since, well forever. She's the sassiest, most amazing person I know. I love the girl to death.

"Anyways, I was calling to remind you about the big Fourth of July party tomorrow night. Are you coming?"

Oh shoot. I completely forgot. Every year, on the Fourth, our tiny town throws this huge potluck barbecue party to celebrate. It's basically a tradition of our town and everyone always shows up.

"Of course, why wouldn't I?"

"Good! Cause I would've dragged your butt out of your apartment and made you go if you said no."

I laughed. "Knowing you, you would."

We talked for a few more minutes before she had to go.

This party however was just the thing I needed. I just need an escape right now from everything. I couldn't wait.

The day flew by quickly and before I knew it, I was being whisked out my door by Cassidy. Since I only live about three blocks away from the park, we decided to walk there.

By the time we got there, the park was getting full of the townspeople. The nice thing about living in a tiny town is that everyone knows everyone. There wasn't a person here that I didn't know, which was nice.

Cass and I made our way over to the buffet line and piled our plates up with food. Our favorite place to eat at was underneath the oak tree by the lake, so we made our way over there as soon as we finished getting our food.

I sat down, but I noticed Cassidy looking off into the distance.

"You okay?" I asked her.

"Uhh, yeah, but you might not be." She pointed and I looked in the direction her finger was pointing in and immediately gasped.

Scotty.

Expected, because he lives here now but still unexpected because it's been four years without seeing him here.

I realized Cassidy was looking at me, her expression growing concerned.

I quickly composed myself and smiled at her. "It's cool. Really. He has every right to be here. I'm over him."

She seemed to believe me, but the truth was that I really was not over him. I realized I was still in love with the guy...

Sorry it's so short! I've decided that this imagine will only be four parts, so the next one will be the last for this one!

Let me know what y'all think and I promise I'll have the last one and the others done soon! Thank y'all so much for sticking by me and being patient. I know I'm constantly away from here and I feel super guilty not updating!
