"I have absolutely nothing to wear!" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in the air in frustration. I looked around at the mess I had created from trying to find something nice to wear for my first date.
This wasn't just any date though. I was going on a date with Scotty McCreery, the most popular boy in college. Could you believe it? Out of all the girls on campus, he asks me out? I was over the moon. You see, I have a massive crush on the guy. He's literally the definition of the perfect gentleman.
"Difficulties?" A voice sounded at my door. I looked over to see my dorm room neighbor, Kelsey.
"Sort of. I don't have anything to wear for my date tonight."
"Ooo, a date? Girl, I've got just the thing for you. Come on." She left and I followed her into her room. I stood by her bed as she dug in her dresser. She revealed to me a really beautiful red dress.
"Wow. It's beautiful."
"Try it on." She smiled and handed it to me.
"Thanks." I smiled back and shed my clothes and slipped it on. Kelsey and I were close-ish so I was too shy to undress in front of her.
"Absolutely gorgeous." She said. I turned to face the mirror she had on the back of her door and I was taken aback.
The dress was beautiful. It hugged my curves and the neckline was gorgeous.
"I have these black heels to go with it too." Kelsey handed me a pair of heels and I slipped them on, immediately adding an inch or two to my already five foot four inches.
"Damn girl, you're gonna make your date fall head over heels for you."
I laughed. "You think so?"
"Umm, yeah. Girl, you're drop dead gorgeous. Whoever this guy is is incredibly lucky."
"It's Scotty McCreery." I laughed as I watched her reaction.
"THE Scotty McCreery?!"
I nodded.
"Oh my gosh. Serious?! He's like, the hottest guy in school!"
"Yeahhh." I laughed.
"Well this outfit will blow him away for sure."
"Thanks Kelsey." I smiled.
"No problem. Now go make that boy fall in love!"

An hour or so later, there was a knock at my door. I opened it and saw Scotty standing there dressed in a nice suit. He looked so handsome.
"Wow Jordyn...you look amazing."
"Thank you. You look very handsome." I smiled.
"Shall we go then?" He offered his arm and I slipped mine through his.
"Of course!"
He led me out to his truck and he helped me up. He got in the other side and drove off.
"So where are we going?" I asked.
"It's a surprise." He grinned.
I laughed.
About a half hour later we arrived outside a very fancy restaurant.
"Wow."
"Right? You'll love this place. They have the best seafood in town." He smiled and we got out of the truck and made our way into the restaurant.
Dinner was absolutely lovely. He was eighth about them having the best seafood in town. We left about two hours later and as we were walking back to his truck, I felt his fingers interlock with mine. I smiled.
He walked me over to the passenger side and stopped, leaning against the side of the door.
"You look absolutely beautiful tonight Jordyn."
"Thank you." I smiled.
"I really really like you." He said.
"I like you too Scotty." I smiled and before I knew it, he was leaning his head down for a kiss.
Our lips met and I felt like fireworks were exploding inside of me. It was a magical feeling and one I'll never forget.
