Chapter Ten

"Okay, Meredith, get your girls in a line. Probably tallest on the two outsides, and then have it go down to the shortest." The photographer says. Disney asked us to do a promotional video, and to get a couple pictures taken. All so teams will sign up for next year. They figure that we'll gain popularity from winning this, and other teams that look up to us will rush to sign up for this competition.

"Nicole and Jamie are the two tallest, Tessa is the shortest." She comments. "The rest of you know where to go." I'm in between tallest and shortest, but on the taller side of the ten. I'm probably fourth tallest.

"Now, I want you all to just talk. Talk about your experience, talk about why you're happy that your team was part of this competition." The man says as he looks at his clipboard. "Who's the team captain? She will introduce you guys."

"There isn't a team captain. I like to look at the girls as equal."

"Okay, so who wants to introduce the team?"

"What would we do?" Tessa asks.

"You would say the name of your dance studio, where you're from, and that you guys won this competition."

"Have Andy do it." I speak up. "She's a great public speaker."

"Do you want to Andy?" Meredith asks.

"Yeah I can."

"Okay. So come to the front. And just introduce your team." Andy steps up and clears her throat before the man tells action.

"Hey everyone! We're At The Barre, and we traveled all the way from Upstate New York to compete in this competition, which we were lucky enough to win."

"Someone else say something!" The director whispers from behind the camera. Everyone looks around, and Nicole finally steps up.

"This experience was fantastic for us. We've been to plenty of competitions, but none where we've been away for more than a weekend. It was so different."

"This has been one of the best experiences of my life." I say as I step forward a little. "I've been a fan of Disney since I was in diapers, and getting to compete here was a dream come true. I've met so many great people, and I really feel so much closer to my team."

"Disney has treated us so well since we've been here. This is a competition that I think we all recommend for you to try. You'll have a blast, and you'll never really forget it." Ken brings up.

"We hope to compete against you next year, but you better get to work."

"Okay! Great! See, wasn't that easy? Photo shoot done. Video done. You guys are free to go." He packs up his camera and leaves the room while everyone here is taking forever to get their stuff packed up. I just want to go into Magic Kingdom today.

"Let's go to Animal Kingdom today!" Jamie says as she flings her bag over her shoulder. I make a little face to myself. I love all the four parks, but Animal Kingdom is by far my least favorite. I don't know why, but it always has been.

"Well judging by Siena's face, that seems like a no."

"I was just really hoping to go to Magic Kingdom today. I don't know."

"Well, four chaperones. We don't have to stay together." Meredith points out. "So girls, break into groups based on where you want to go."

Andy, Ken, Beth, Tessa, and I get into a group for Magic Kingdom. Jamie, Liana, and Nicole get in a group for Animal Kingdom, and Emily and Kenzie say Epcot. Beth and Kendall's fathers are coming with us to Magic Kingdom, Liana's mom is going to Animal Kingdom, and Meredith is going to Epcot.
