Your name?
Introduction day
"My name?" An inquisitive eyebrow rose along with a sly grin at the common question asked.
You had become accustomed to the sight before you however you couldn't deny that what was in front you favoured over the rest of your bitter sweet encounters. You had struck lucky this time. With a handsome, rugged blonde and a sharp, sleek brunette, both rather gentlemanly in their own ways, you had definitely gotten the better part of the deal than anyone else.
"You don't need to know my name."
Your smirk grew like a flower blooming in the warmth of spring, lengthening itself out even wider than before at the reaction you had brought upon the situation. The humorous situation being that you had unfortunately found yourself in was the babysitting of the Erwin Smith and his despicable side kick, Levi Ackerman.
Furrowing his thick eyebrows, Erwin grumbled profanities even you didn't know exist under his breath as if not to offend the heavens while Levi was much more upfront by glaring blatantly into your pitch black soul, joyously waiting for your last icy breath. Erwin paced nervously, clearly figuring what was at stake with your presence but kept it to himself leaving Levi in the dark - still analysing your every move. Every blink. Every tap. Every wiggle in the uncomfortable chair.
Since no one wanted to input their thoughts or opinions, you decided to analyse your surroundings. It was a pathetic sized office, a fraction of the size of your office but Erwin's looked more homely as if he were a family man. Frames of the unknown pointed away for his eyes only however most were covered by large piles of uneven paper all sorts of colours and sizes.
"So-"
Levi finally broke the pregnant silence by making the first move, placing his elbows on his pristine white spread knees as he leaned slowly towards you on his creaking chair. His slender hands slipped beneath his chin for support, biceps tensing and bulging beneath his shirt but you knew better than to obsess. Slanting his head eerily - ready to start slicing your limbs up - he continued smoothly.
"-what's Military scum doing here?" Levi sneered, ignoring Erwin's harsh warning from behind.
"Put a leash on him, Erwin." For Levi's rude comment you decided to avert your attention back to Erwin, the only serious adult in the office, ignoring Levi's growls of rage which proved your point even more. Appeared as though Erwin told no one of your arrival...
"Why didn't we get a letter? An announcement? Anything?" Erwin's calm demeanour had tarnished ever since you had stepped into his office unannounced, nervous beads of sweat blemishing his skin. His cool ocean blue eyes were wide and his golden locks were ruffled with thin strands decorating his furrowing forehead.
"That's what makes it exciting," you stuck your tongue out playfully, unfortunately not for them, as you teased them more and more until one of them snapped. Hopefully.
This was your first time assessing for the Military Police and you enjoyed having so much power for so long. With three months of playing the puppeteer, you were bound to have some fun but in the end this was a serious job in need of serious results for the King. Whether the assessment was good or bad; he decides all.
Shaking his head at your childish ways, he continued to question you.
"How long are you staying with us?"
"Three months."
"Are you going beyond the wall?"
"Yes."
"Will you be monitoring Eren Jaeger?"
"Titan boy?"
"Yes, the ti-"
Shoving the unstable chair behind him, Levi glared between the two of you with coal black strands hiding his true emotions but clear annoyance written all over his sour face at his unknown knowledge.
"Erwin." Levi clenched his teeth at his oblivious state. He knew was in a weak situation but he could help Erwin as long as he treated him as an equal, Levi was capable.
"We're being assessed-" Erwin sighed in defeat, "-for funding. It happens every five years."
Butting in on the tender moment between the two, you leaned smugly against your chair. Swinging on the two fragile legs of the splintering chair, you crossed your slender but rather muscular legs flamboyantly.
"And I'm your assessor." You grinned as Levi's shape eyes widened fractionally but you still noticed his regret and shock mixed into one expression. And you loved it.
"Shit- Fuck-"
"My my...This isn't going well, Erwin," you critiqued Erwin's teachings, tutting at him and mocking him by wagging your finger towards his direction in disappointment like a parent to their child.
The man before you was like an all powerful god. You joined the trainee squad a few years behind Erwin but he was mainly your sole reason for joining however your decision to enter the military was your parents; if it wasn't for your mother's death you would have most likely been in Levi's position today but your life took a turn for the worst in the last months of training. Now, every last penny you scrapped from working, you give it to your lonesome father still in wake.
Despite being the youth in this situation, you enjoyed leering down at your weak elders but you were more interested in collecting the favours of the 104th Trainees squad. You wanted to be an idol to them since you were looked down on in the military police by the masses so why not put your mark on the Survey Corps instead.
"Tomorrow. Start the assessment tomorrow," Erwin, for the first time since he was birthed, pleaded which took you back slightly but you kept your composure and continued your sly behaviour.
"I don't know Erwin, I am loyal to my word and I promised that once I stepped foot-"
"Please."
You glanced between the two sheepish men who had now lost their harsh and cold personalities to kiss your ass for funding. Slightly disappointed that they didn't put up more of a fight, you sighed and stood up from the wonky chair brushing off the nonexistent dust on your tense thighs.
"Give me the biggest room you have."
"Really? I mean- Yes, of course."
