Aspen started to ramble about this mysterious guy I still don't know about while Chase standing in front of us.
"You guys wanna go to the Pool table bar later tonight?" Chase started.
"Uh, no. I'll pass," I pouted.
"Harper! It's Friday, c'mon," Aspen yells slapping my arm.
"You guys can go? I mean, I'm just not feeling it."
Chase raises his eyebrows and sits down next to me, his arm touching mine. My cheeks tingled at the gesture. I could see Aspen bite her lip and cross her arms, grinning creepily at me.
"For me, Harper?" Chase said, his eyes widening.
"Just no. Like I said, I'll pass."
"Alright, suit yourself. It'll be lots of fun."
He winks at us and walks off to his groups of friends. Chase clearly was the center of attention, once he walked up to them, their glares drifted to Chase himself.
"Harper! What the hell!" Aspen yells, her eyebrows crinkled.
"What?"
"You're so going."
"No, I'm not."
"We're not doing this again. You clearly like him, just go to the bar. What if there's girls all over him? If you're there, he won't even think about touching anyone."
The thought of Chase being with other girls tightens my hands. I bite my lip and look down to my knees.
"He's a player, nothing is going to change that," I said throwing my leftover apple core in the garbage. "I'm going to class."

During class, I decided I should go to the bar. I still had no idea how I was going to get in but knowing Chase, he probably has his ways. I sat on my bed, staring at the clothes that I had in my closet and took out my boxy grey t-shirt, my dark blue jeans prepared with my matte dark rose lip colour. I grabbed my bag and heard Aspen's car honking, of course she knew I was going. Aspen knows all?
"Oh god, you look gorgeous as always," Aspen squeals.
She was wearing a light pink skirt and a white t-shirt that was tucked in her skirt. Her makeup looking flawless, as always.
"Thank you."
She drove and we arrived at the bar. Once I walked out, I could see Chase in the distance. He walks towards us, I was surprised with what I had seen. It was Chase. His arm was wrapped around a girls waist, her lips were close to his neck, he looked happy. I suddenly felt a pang of jealousy. They walk towards us, Aspen gave me a pissed look and gave Chase a glare he even flinched at.
"Uh, here's your 'id'," Chase slowly said looking at Aspen, he looked frightened.
"ID?" I ask.
"Yup, this is what will get you in," Chase said.
"How did you know I would be coming?"
He shrugged and looks back to the girl giggling, because of her lips tickling his neck.
"Well thank you," I cough.
Aspen walks, pushing past them, taking my arm with her. I could hear them giggle behind us.
As I walked in, loud music pounded in my ear. The place was pretty big, about six pool tables scattered over the room, busty waiters handing drinks, and drunk guys that were enjoying the company of other girls. I shuffled my way to a small booth at the corner of the bar awkwardly, with Aspen now behind me. I looked around the bar, and heard Aspen whisper into my ear.
