Harper P.O.V
I won't lie, the kiss was-something-it was really good. I felt bad since the only reason why I kissed him was because I knew Chase was looking, but now it didn't matter. A smile spread across our faces, until I blurted something that wasn't supposed to be said.
"You're really good-" I blurt with a chuckle.
"What?" Cayden giggles
"I-I-did-not mean to say that. You're really good at pool-I mean"
"Oh really? Thanks?" Cayden continues to chuckle at my stupidity.
"So-you two must be enjoying yourselves," Chase's voice interrupted our cute moment.
I looked into the distance at nothing with my face all squinted 'cause I was pissed.
"Yeah, we are. Why don't you enjoy yourself other than be concerned with us?" I hissed.
"Fine, we were just about to leave," Chase huffed as he walked away with Christina in his arm.
After he left, I didn't give a fuck about Chase. At least that's what I was telling myself. I turned back to Cayden where his face was lost in what just happened.
"Uh, well that wasn't a very nice atmosphere to be in," Cayden snaps out of his confusion.
Just as he said that, I saw Aspen standing on top of a chair and yelling at nobody but the pool table. She's drunk. I let out a sigh and smile.
"Mhm, sorry about that. But-uh-I gotta go now so, see you next time?"
"Wait-can I at least have your number," he said with a toothy grin
"Of course."
He gave me his phone where I punched in my numbers and immediately sprinted awkwardly to Aspen, trying to get her off the chair and out the door.
"Chase! Coming or not, we're leaving!" I yell at Chase. "And this time, hurry the fuck up."
I rush out to the front of the car, still holding Aspen as she murmurers-'interesting' things.
"HARPER! YOU STILL HAVEN'T TALKED TO CHASEY!"
"He's too busy sucking Christina's face to talk to me," I reply coldly.
"God! You-guys-are-like-so-cute," Aspen hiccups.
"Aspen-just hurry up and get in the damn car before I have to use force."
"Jeez! Fine, but how are you gonna drive? I mean, aren't you used to your rundown car, and my car is just gorgeous?" She blabbered on.
"For your information, I can drive perfectly. Just because I'm in another car, doesn't mean I can't drive it and my car is just old, she's still a beauty."
"Okay then, little-smart-Harper!"
We got into the car and I looked around the controls, and realized this would be harder than I thought it would be. It was very different from Bo Peep, which was of course my car. I started to feel uncomfortable since I did not want to kill both of us driving this car.
"Uh, Aspen? I don't think I can drive this car. It's just way too uncomfortable."
"Hey-I-told-yuh-so," she slurred. "Why-don't-we-ashk- Chase-for-a ride, hehe."
"Funny. No."
"Why-not!"
"What do you think? It's awkward as hell."
