*BEFORE YOU GET CONFUSED, THIS CHAPTER IS ABOUT HER IN FLASHBACK, WE'RE TRYING TO EXPLAIN MORE ABOUT CHAPTER 5*
"Honey, your dad's going to pick you up from school today, I have some business to do at work so behave!" Mother sang
"Okay Mommy!" I replied. Mother drove me to school and I skipped the whole way to class. It was one happy day just like the rest. After school, I sit on a bench outside of the school and wait for dad to come and pick me up. It's already been 25 minutes since the time he was supposed to pick me up, I decide to wait in the office. I've waited and waited, I see no sign.
"Dear, where are your parents? It's late now and I'm supposed to go home but I can't leave you here alone." The principle said.
"I-I'm sorry, I don't know where daddy is. He's supposed to pick me up after school, mommy said that."
"Shall we call him, dear?"
"Yes please!"
She gave me a line to call. I heard the other line pick up.
"Honey, I'm sorry, I'm coming in a moment, j-just wait a little more." Mother sounded like she was out of breath.
"Okay mommy." I hung up.

Later that night, mom was tucking me into bed and she sat down beside me.
"I have to tell you something, sweety." Mother started to tremble.
"Yes mommy?"
"I don't think your dad is coming back anytime soon, and not for a while."
"What do you mean mommy? Daddy isn't coming back? Is it some kind of work travel thingy?"
"No, he's not coming back for good." Tears had fallen out of mommy's eyes, I wiped them away with my tiny hands.
"But mommy, isn't daddy supposed to stay with us forever? He's our daddy."
"No honey, unfortunately, it hasn't ended that way."
"Hm."
"Anyways, tomorrow's your birthday right?! You're turning eight years old! Such a big girl now!" Mommy pretended to be okay.
"Yes, I'm a big girl now and I'll get to help you do chores and stuff!"
"That's right! And mommy would like to tell you something important."
"Yes?"
"No matter what, don't let men fool you."

"Happy Birthday, honey! You're finally thirteen! I'm so happy to see you grow so much!" Grandma happily said.
"Thanks." I murmured and walked to my room. Mother was in rehab and hasn't came home to wish me happy birthday. I wanted to take my own life, honestly, because the pain I held for years has been too much. I stare at a bottle of pills and cry. I eventually cried myself to sleep.
