Mettaton doesn't come out. There's no epic battle or transformation. Just a soft humming noise. This only adds onto Frisk's fears. They slow down, looking around the dark room silently. It feels like they're being watched. Frisk walks into the hallway and to the elevator that leads to Asgore's castle. They step inside and press the up button, watching silently as The metal doors slide shut.
The elevator hums softly as it moves...leaving Frisk to their thoughts. They wonder if Flowey is okay...if Sans knows it wasn't them....if he hates them.
Frisk suddenly feels sick. They step off the elevator, and stand there in silence for a while. There's no going back now. They can only push forward.
Frisk walks towards the castle. The small house that is mimicked by the one in the Ruins. They walk inside. No interactions at all. They walk downstairs and through the basement. The silence is deafening...
Frisk can hear their heartbeat and their blood roars in their ears as they enter the corridor. It's well lit by the sun shining through the windows. Birds chirp from outside. The room would be relaxing any other day...now it felt like a death omen.
Frisk almost missed the shadowy figure. It stepped in front of them.
"Greetings Frisk..." Chara chuckled. "Long time no see...you've came all this way just to see me and save Asriel...or avenge your friends and reset...yadda yadda...all that matters is that you're here. And you've worked harder than anyone I've ever seen to get here."
Frisk stared silently.
"Enough about that..." Chara shook her head. "Let's just hurry and get to the part where I kill you."
