My heart skipped a beat when Jamie handed me a vinyl with a note stuck to it. A smile grows across my face as I read it. It's from Ellington.

Hey there beautiful,

I know your name is Rydel but you're just really beautiful so I had to do that okay? I don't know if you know me but this is Ellington, the weird guy who likes Stevie Wonder. I've heard some things about you and this song came to mind for you.

I read the vinyl label. It's a Maroon 5 song called She Will Be Loved. I can't say I haven't heard this before because I have but this is a beautiful song. Ellington thought of me when he played this song. A tingle goes up my spine and I thank Jamie for delivering it to me.

I go back out and text Riker that I was ready to go. I start walking on the sidewalk when a hand goes over my mouth and a hand goes up the back of my shirt. "I've been missing me some Lynch." I hear a familiar voice in my ear and goosebumps arrive on my skin. I let my vinyl drop on the concrete making it shatter, along with my heart dropping over the sound of it. Aaron drags me back between buildings and pins me against the wall.

"I can't." Was all I got out before he slapped me in the face. This can't be happening to me, not today. I put my hands on his chest to push him away but he starts kissing my neck and tears start streaming down my face. "Please stop, please." I pled and Aaron starts sucking my neck. Things are different. I'm not letting him use me again. I scream and close my eyes. I wish someone would-

Wham.

It flashes before my eyes. Aaron is on the ground holding his nose that's bleeding. It looks broken. "Are you okay?" I look up to see a tired Ellington in front of me. I notice he's holding his hand in a fist. He punched him. For me! He doesn't even know me though. "Hello?" He interrupts my thoughts.

"Yes, yes I am. You punched that guy?" I say in shock even though I know he did. Ellington laughs slightly and nods. "I don't know what to say. You don't even know me and you just saved me. Thank you." I smile. Ellington shrugs as if it's no big deal that he just punched someone. Aaron starts getting back up and I could tell he was pissed now. I go up to him and I do something I have never done before in my life.

I kneed him right in the place that would not be pleasant. He drops back to the ground saying explicit words in the process. I can't believe I just did that.

I look at Ellington who seemed to be in fascination over me. "I think I'm going to go now." I turn around to go walk away to see if Riker was here yet. A hand grabs my wrist and I look over my shoulder to see Ellington. "You almost just got raped and you want me to just let you go away alone? I'll come with." He says then slides his hand down to where our fingers were touching. We both watch our fingers interlock with each other.

I don't know if it's possible but can you rape someone's hand with yours? His skin, his fingers, his hand, felt like new territory to be explored that no one has felt before. I've never felt this way before. His hand was like a firework to my hand. It was sparks flying every single nerve in my body felt alive by his touch. I quickly dismiss this amazement and walk back out to the front of Jamie's Jams with Ellington's hand in mine.

We're holding hands!

Shhhhh calm down me it's probably normal to him. He probably gets all the girls and has them drooling all over him.

I'm probably just another girl.

We see my vinyl laying on the ground shattered and I sigh. Ellington looks at me. "Well I take it you don't like Maroon 5?" He asks jokingly and I bust out laughing. A smile grows across his face. "Hey Rydel?" I stop suddenly and look at him as in to tell him to go on.

"Want to come to my place?"
