Chapter 40-A date with Zayn

-Your POV-

I woke up when my alarm bell rang.I lifted my head from Zayn's bare chest and sat up straight on the bed.Zayn was peacefully sleeping.I looked at the clock,it was 8 am.I groaned quietly,being careful not to wake Zayn.I slowly got off the bed and stretched a bit before making my way to the bathroom.I got out my toothbrush,splash it with some water,put some toothpaste on it and brought it to my mouth.I brushed my teeth and washed my face.I went back to the bedroom and changed in to a tight white skirt which was just above my knee,with a long sleeved black blouse.I put on my jacket because it is so cold outside.I brushed my hair and put on some light eye liner before slowly going down the stairs.I pulled out the cereal box and a bowl.I put some cereal and poured some milk in to the bowl.I slowly ate my cereal.

Before I left the house,I wrote a note to Zayn saying-

Going to work.See you by 6! Love you!

I placed the note on the kitchen table,grabbed my car keys and disappeared outside.I unlocked my car and got inside.I wasn't in a rush,so I slowly drove my car to the office.Once I reached the office,I calmly walked inside.Before I entered through the doors,I heard a car pull up but I didn't bother to look behind.I slowly walked in to the elevator.Before the elevator doors closed,I noticed a person running in.I put my hand between the elevator doors,preventing them from closing.My eyes widened when I saw that the 'person' was Niall.He made eye contact with me but looked at the floor after a few seconds.He entered the elevator,slowly and quietly,still looking at the floor.I felt a bit nervous.Normally,you would talk with your ex but I felt really scared to talk with him.I slowly pressed the 11th floor button and the elevator doors closed.It was very awkward.Niall didn't say a thing,he continued to look at the elevator floor while playing with his fingers.I decided to break the silence."So,how is life?" I asked."Complicated" Niall answered in a cracked tone,still looking at the floor.I sighed."Is it because,I'm with Zayn?" I asked like a foolish person.I knew why his life was complicated but I asked it anyways."You know whats happening with my life" Niall added slowly and quietly."That doesn't mean that we can't talk with each other.We can be friends" I said.Niall finally made eye contact with me.His eyes were trembling and full of love.I didn't let myself get lost in his eyes."You know that I can't be friends with you" Niall said after a few seconds of eye contact.I raised my eye brows at him."Why not?"  "Please,stop acting like you forgot everything that happened in the past weeks" Niall said angrily."Huh?" I asked.When Niall opened his mouth to say something,the elevator doors flew open.Niall looked ahead and walked to his office.Before he entered his private office,he turned around and looked at me.I looked at him.Niall rolled his eyes and walked in to his office.

Of course I haven't forgotten what happened during the past weeks.It's just that,my mind wont admit that I'm in love with Niall but a part of my heart knew that I was in love with him.Why can't he just be friends with me? My heart knew the obvious answer.Niall was deeply in love with me but.... I truly think that Zayn is the right one for me.It's not like I'm totally ignoring Niall.I tried to make a decent conversation with him but,it didn't go as I planned.I knew that I had to talk and clear it up with Niall,one way or another.

"_________!" Ellie interrupted my thoughts.I finally came to earth.I realize that I was standing in front of the elevator all this time,getting lost in my own thoughts."Oh hey,Ellie!" I said and gave her a quick hug."Have you heard the rumor?" she asked."No.What rumor?"  "I heard that Mr.Ho-Niall is quitting".I widened my eyes."What? Why?" I asked eagerly."Maybe,its because the whole thing between you and him is getting quite unbearable for him".I already told Ellie the whole story about Zayn and Niall yesterday.She understood me but she was supporting Niall."Look,just because we broke up,doesn't mean he can just quit like that! I mean,I'm just one girl in a million.There about billions of girls for him and why is he doing all this because of me?!" I asked angrily.The people around us looked at us,giving us 'the face' but I ignored them."Maybe that's how you see it but for him,you are the only girl in the world.Just think about it,he lost the girl who he was deeply,truly and madly in love with.And that girl is you" Ellie tried to convince me but I shook it off."You are supporting him? After all the lies he told me? I don't care if he is still in love with me but I have already move on!" I said,trying not to shout.Ellie raised her eye brows at me."Yeah? You have moved on? Within like 2 days? Yeah,good one!" Ellie said sarcastically.I rolled my eyes.I looked ahead and saw Judy walking in to Niall's office.Jealously started to come in to my mind.Wait,why am I being jealous?
