Hadley's POV

Okay. Pretty clothes, check. Good hair, sort of check. Nice shoes? Check. Money, check. I think I'm all good. I thought to myself.

"Mental checklist done, Hadley?" Tessa said to me.

"Yep. I've got it down." I responded. Tessa and I are always checking in on each other because of the weird coincidence of our crushes always being best friends with each other. It had happened every time and from the looks of it, this time was no exception.

"I should probably go," I told her. "I don't want to be late."

"Yeah, I'm about to head out to ask the girls if they need rides and then head out as well." She told me. I walked out of the apartment and walked over to the restaurant that Edmund and I were meeting at. Almost as soon as I got there, I spotted him talking to the host of the restaurant to get us a seat. I walked in and saw that the table he had got us was in the corner just like I wanted it to be.

Edmund's POV

I saw Hadley walking to the table I had reserved, and stood up to greet her.

"Hi Hadley! You look nice." I said. Too much enthusiasm? Probably. I thought silently cursing myself for being nervous.

"Thank you! You do too. Did you pick this table out?" She asked me.

"Yeah. Is it okay? I can moved the reservation if you want me to." I said trying to please her.

"Oh it's great! You don't have to move it, I like it." She said.

"Awesome! So, what will you get?" I asked her. "We can split a cheese pizza if you want."

"Yeah that sounds good to me." She agreed. The waiter came and I ordered for both of us. We started talking and the time just flew by.

Nadine's POV

I am so freaking excited!!! I just hope he doesn't throw something at me or we get into a really heated argument. I just hope for a nice hangout session with Sagan. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK???

"You okay Nadine?" Hadley asked.

"Yeah I'm fine. Just nervous about having to go meet with Sagan and most likely argue with him. I'm tired and I don't want him to win the argument. Even if it's about some stupid little thing." I spewed. What I said was true. I kind of always want to win arguments even over the smallest things. Tessa is sort of like that too but not as much as me.

"I am going to head to the library guys. I want to be early and already have a book out reading when Sagan gets there to try and impress him." I said.

"Good luck and don't die!" Tessa exclaimed as she usually does when saying good luck to us. As I walked across the street to the library, I was mentally picking out the book that I wanted to read so I could get in, get the book, and sit down to read it before he came in.

Sagan's POV

"Hey Sagan! We just found out about a school project and we split the tasks up between us. Your task is to go spend five hours at the library reading and talking to one person that we got to pick out. You can walk over there but once you are in the library you can't leave or you get and F on your part of the assignment and we all know how you feel about getting F's." Paden told me.

"And when was this decided?" I asked him.

"A couple of days ago. Now go to the library!" he said kind of suspiciously. I didn't want to get and F so I walked over to the library and walked inside. I had a feeling that I knew who the one person was but I texted Paden a picture of me in the library and said, "Who is the person?" He texted me back saying "Nadine. Your welcome ;)" Ugh. He would set me up with her while he was off having fun with his most likely soon to be girlfriend. I soon saw Nadine sitting at a table with a book in her hand. Jane Eyre really? I decided to chuck a book at her to make her look up. I grabbed a book off the shelf I was standing next to and it happened to be a book called Fangirl by some person called Rainbow Rowell. It was hardcover but whatever. I chucked it at her and immediately she looked up with anger in her eyes.

"What did you do that for you idiot?!" She loudly whisper shouted at me. "You could have hit my glasses and made them break!"

"And your point is...?" I said just to egg her on.

"Whatever. Obviously, you just aren't intelligent enough to understand my point of view." She said snobbely.

"Oh really? You think I'M not intelligent enough? Listen to yourself! You can hardly make a valid point in your argument!" I shouted back at her.

"SHHHH!" a librarian said to us. From then on itwas a dead on glaring
