Lindsay's Point Of View

Zayn's eyes adverted straight from my face to my hand, just like I hoped he would. All of the other boys did a double take at what I had said, taking Harry a few seconds before he caught up with the rest of the crowd. I was just trying to show off to Zayn that I was able to move on just like he had with Perrie. The only thing that really bugged me though, and I hate to admit this, but I hate her dearly with a passion. I could care less if he dated a prostitute off of the street, but no. It had to be Perrie.

Liam gave me a smile and congratulated me. The guilt finally set in and I felt bad for lying to them. Surely they knew though, for it was only an engangement ring. No wedding band wrapped around it. Scrolling on my computer, while they waited patiently, I googled the other modeling complanies that they have been too. High, amazing modeling businesses. I would have to make sure these photos would be perfect.

"How long are you boys in the states for?" I asked, typing away on my keyboard.

Louis chimed his voice in,"For the next four weeks actually. We're on tour break."

Smiling, I continued my research by looking through their files. Stopping on Zayn's, I noticed my name appeared on the wikipedia page that was printed out. I was read as the ex-girlfriend, while Perrie was listed as the current girl friend. My hands tightened around the paper, and I set them back in the drawers where the rightfully belonged.

"Perfect. We'll use those four weeks to get this cover and interviews to be perfect." Louis and Liam's face lightened up. Niall and Harry didn't seem to care, as if it was normal for them. And Zayn just stared off into space. Though it looked like his gaze was directed towards my frame that I had set out. It was special to me, of course I would.

"I'd like you boys to be here tomorrow at noon. We'll go over the type of setting you guys want. After I plan that all out, I'll have you back once it's done, then measure and fit you for clothes and such. Later, makeup. Then bam, this will all be over before you know it."

Standing up, I made my way to the glass door, holding it open for them. I didn't talk to my clients for long. It was more like a give and go procedure. The sooner it's over the better. Liam hugged me on his way out, while the other boys gave me a friendly smile.

Zayn, yet again, walked straight past me, flaunting his bad boy style that he thought he had. I could see right past him. Only I knew the real him. Or at least I did two years ago. Who knows, he's probably changed. When he walked by me, it felt like he was moving in slow motion. Like he was trying to get me to notice something. I did, of course.

The necklace I had given him on the day of my departure laid onto his chest, hooked at the back of his neck. My locket. My breath hitched in my throat as I shut the door. Looking down, I lifted up the collar of my dress and brought out the familiar chain, glad that I had hidden it. I wore it everyday, never taking it off. It was promise we had made to each other, and breaking promises wasn't like me. Obviously it wasn't like him either. He did wear the necklace, and he promised to move on just like he has at the moment. Good for him.

But the pang of jealousy hit me for no reason. That should still be mine. I was young and childish back then. He had no right to wear that. It meant nothing to him, while it meant everything to me.

Picking up my phone, my mother had started calling me,"Hello?"

"Sweet heart! When are you coming to visit next?!"

Her perky voice lightened my mood, and I grinned from ear to ear,"In a few days actually. I have a plane ticket already!" She squealed into the phone, and I brought the phone back as she screamed down the hallway towards Max's room I suppose.
