Lindsay's Point Of View

Going through my suit case that was laid out ontop of my bed, I struggled to find something decent to wear. Mom said to look nice, meaning a casual dress. The one thing I don't pack. Sitting on the edge of my bed, a loud sigh escapes my tired lips as my head collaspes into my hands.

When Max and I returned home, I went straight to my room to take a short nap. Though what was supposed to be a short nap turned to be a thinking session over Zayn and his family. Had I have known that he was going to be here this weekend, I would've changed my trip entirely. Who knew where I could see him, or maybe if I would see him at all.

The night I texted Zayn was when he was mauled to death by his loving so called fans. Though no reply came, I knew he was alright because Liam had filled in with all of the details that needed to be known. It was such a horrid thing to discuss that I was biting my lip over the phone the entire time as the story rolled off of his tongue.

A slight knock came from my bedroom door, and I groaned as my feet carried myself to the door knob. Twisting the golden bolt open, there was a black bag handing off of the knob. I unhooked the hanger from its original grasp and closed the door behind me shut.

Revealing what the garmet was, I unzipped it carefully to find a beautful smile on my once dulled face. A baby pink dress with spaghetti straps laid infront of me and my worries soon disappeared. Stripping off my lazy clothes, I slipped the dress on carefully, not wanting to damage anything. The straps slipped over my shoulders without any help, and taking one look in the mirror, I was in love.

My hair was already styled. Loose curls with my bangs braided to the side, held with a white clip with a small bow attached to it. Smudging some copper eye shadow and applying eye shadow, I touched my look off with a nude color lip stick. Taking one last glance of the master piece I had become, I gave a quick smile before runnng down stairs to greet the rest of the family.

All three boys were patiently waiting in the living room, looking rather dashing if I do say so myself. While mom was off somewhere in the house. Max was too busy to notice I had come down stairs because he was playing some app off of his cellular device.

"Lindsay, dear! Will you wear these shoes with the dress? I found them under your bed!"

My eyebrow cocked up as I followed to where here voice came from. She was dressed in a light yellow dress as well, covered by a white cardigan. She handed me a box of which I did not recognize, only until i opened. There was no way I could say no to her. The heels were black, with silver lining. They would top my whole outfit off.

Gripping her shoulder for balance, I placed them on my feet and began the walk out to the car behind the rest of my family. My phone was in my hand, and as I buckled my seat belt on, I turned it off not wanting to waste my battery or for it to become a distraction.

Xavier sat across from me as we sat in the middle of the car, while Max was in the way back. We talked about his medical degree this time mostly. He would tell me a few of his university stories, but only the appropriate ones that usually had mom dying of laughter. Dad remained quiet for the entire ride, not uttering one word nor sound.

Stepping into the now warm air of the restaraunt, I looked from side to side to take in my surroundings. Red velvet carpet covered the floors as silky black drapes hung from the ceilings and touched the side of the walls. The round tables were covered in white table cloths set with the finest silverware I've ever seen. Wine glasses set at the top edge of each plate, a napkin topping all of it with a small loop holding it together.

Magnificent.

We were led to our table, faster than I expected it to be. Once seated, we were asked for our drinks and a few slices of bread met our mouths, soon going into our stomachs. The butter melted from the steam the bread offered, and it made my mouth tingle and left me wanting more once I was finished.
