Lindsay's Point Of View

It was finally my last day here in England, my last day with my family for a while. The past few days went by in a blur. Some were spent with Xavier, others with Max, or sometimes I'd just stay home with my dad or mom due to the amount of work they had to do.

I hadn't told anyone that I was engaged to Brian yet. I was waiting for the right moment, but it never appeared and I knew it would have to be tonight. I was just nervous. Though I had no clue why. They had told me numerous times that they loved him, and it made me glad. All I had to do was get it over with. They'd be glad happy for me.

Our last night was spent in the family room. Max and I were under one blanket on a couch while Xavier sat down in front of us on the floor. Mom and dad sat somewhere to the left of us on a separate couch. The telly was on, and we were watching a movie I had brought over from America.  It was the Avengers.

Max was into this type of stuff. Super heros, action packed films. That basically described him perfectly. The movie had just started and I played with my ring under the blanket. I had put it on, waiting to pause the movie to tell everyone.

Half way through the movie, mother thankfully paused it and stood up,"I'm going to go get more popcorn. Anyone want some?"

I spoke up after she spoke,"Can I tell you guys something first?" They all nodded catiously, Max just dozing off as usual, and it made me giggle a little bit.

I brought my hand from under the blanket and held it out for them to see,"Brian proposed." My mother squealed in delight and came to my side looking at it. Her eyes sparkled as she awed over the diamond ring, and dad also came to inspect it. He squeezed my knee tightly and kissed my cheek. Sending him a small smile, I was glad he was happy and that he approved.

Xavier congratulated me, after Max did. Once we got the popcorn, we started the movie and I couldn't imagine a more perfect moment other than this. The only thing missing of course was Brian. My body always felt empty without him, and my cheeks flushed with color at the thought of him.

All I remember that night is dozing off with a grin plastered on my face.

When the plane landed, I let out a small sigh of relief. Flying wasn't one of my favorite things. I actually had a very weak stomach, and you'd see myself take a few pills here and there. I flew home on a private plane thankfully. I don't think I could stand another rude human being.

My head of security, Ross, was there to pick me up. He smiled down at me and took my bags that were waiting in my hands. As we walked towards the exit, I noticed there were a lot of paparazzi and screaming girls. My stomach churned at them being here, and I decided I'd ask Ross about it in the car.

He pushed through everyone, giving me a pathway to walk through. It was hard to hear what everyone was saying. If I knew that they were going to be here, I might have dressed a little nicer as well. I was dressed in a loose gray tee with some jean capris and some shoes I picked up at some tourist attraction here in New York when I first came here. I had my signature sun glasses on. Wearing them for one photo shoot, led me to wear them everywhere I went. (Photo to the side)

Once I was safely in the car, I immediately turned the heat on. It was still cold in New York in late April suprisingly. Ross soon followed in after me and backed out of the parking lot carefully. A few cameras crowded around the car as well and I was still utterly confused.

"Why were they all there?"

He glanced at me from the side of his eyes before answering me,"They heard that Zayn Malik and you went to England at the same time. They thought you guys went on a trip together. And now everyone is talking about your past relationship."
