Lindsay's Point Of View

"We heard that you are currently working with One Direction. Tell us more about that, Lindsay."

Somehow I knew the conversation would turn to that topic. It's all everyone was talking about apparently. Anwering the interviewer,"It's going very well! I can't wait for everyone to see the final pictures!" I smiled broadly at her, Sophie, and then towards the audience. They soon erupted in applause.

"We can't either!" Her energetic voice said,"One more thing before we close the show. Tell us, is there anything going on with you and Zayn Malik? Gossip says you two snuck home to England together for some alone time!"

I shook my head, laughing at the sily rumor,"No, we're just friends. It was sort of a coincidence that we both went home for the weekened. Turns out we just both wanted to get away from everything and visit our family."

"So no feelings towards the Bradford boy?" She kept pressing.

Folding my hands in my lap, I smiled,"Just good friends."

"Well there you have it folks, Lindsay Haise!"

We walked off before I separated from her about to leave. Why did I have a feeling that Ellen was going to question me the same things? If people only knew that I was currently in a relationship already with someone I loved dearly.

Walking out along side of Ross, he led me to the car before strapping myself in. My phone buzzed and I pulled it out of my purse to see it was Brian. I answered it with a smile.

"Hello?"

"Hey sweety!"

I smiled warmly and leaned against the car window,"What's up? How's work?"

I heard him sigh into the phone,"So busy. These people won't make up their minds about what they want to do. I should be home around Sunday though, if they ever come to  an agreement."

I bit my lip before speaking,"That's great you're coming home soon! But I won't be there when you do."

"Why's that?" The hurt in his voice was evident.

"I'm going to California for an interview."

"All the way to California?! With who?"

I drummed my fingers against my leg,"Don't get angry, alright? Just calm down. But I have interview with One Direction about the new photo shoot and their new tour."

There was a moment of silence as he took the news in. When Brian was angry, that was somewhere I did not want to be. He was another person, and sometimes I couldn't stop him. He hasn't hurt me, he had more control than that. But it still scared me.

"I trust you." His words surprised me. Did he really think that I would try something with one of them? Did I froget to mention he tends to think outside of the box? Well, he does.

We soon said our goodbyes, and by then I was back home. Instead of going inside to rest, I grabbed a coat and began walking the streets of New York. I found myself in the middle of Times Square, and I was staring up at all the bright screens. The street air filled my nose and I closed my eyes, relaxing as much as possible.

Walking into a small cafe, I sat down and ordered black coffee. I needed to be awake. It was only noon and I still felt dead. Though in my defense I came home yesterday from London. I didn't realize how much I missed home until I was surrounded by my family. It was hard enough to leave them all over again.

Even though they told me numerous times that they were happy for me, I could see the hurt in their eyes. And it practically killed me when they left the airport. Max especially. I feel like he took my departure the worst out of all of them. Before I moved to New York, we had the closest bond out of everyone. It took a bigger impact than what I thought it would. That's why it was so great seeing him again. And Xavier. It was nice he took time away from Jennifer to come see his little sister.
