In the midst of hate,
I found there was, within me,
an invincible love.In the midst of tears,
I found there was, within me,
an invincible smile. In the midst of chaos,
I found there was, within me,
an invincible calm.I realized, through it all,
That in the midst of winter,
I found there was, within me,
an invincible summer. And that makes me happy.
For it says
That no matter how hard the world pushes against me,
Within me,
There's something stronger, something better,
Pushing right backAlbert Camus
Over the last four years, I have realized I have exactly what everyone else has.
A lifetime.
And I will be damned if I lose even one day, one hour or even one second to misery.
I ask you, if you knew you had one last breath, what would you say?
If you had one hour to use your limbs before you would lose the use of them forever, what would you do right now?
If you knew you wouldn't see tomorrow, to whom, today, would you make amends with?
If you knew you had only an hour left on this earth, what would be so pressing that you just had to do it, say it, or see it?
Well, there is something I can guarantee.
One day you will have one day, one hour and one breath left, and chances are you will not know when that time will come.
Just make sure, before that day does come, you have said, done, and experienced everything you ever dreamed of doing.
Do it now.
That is what today is for.
So pick up the phone and call an old friend you have fallen out of touch with over some silly fight the details of which you can't remember, and where it all went wrong.
Get out and run a mile, use your legs, make your body sweat.
Seek out someone in your life you have wronged and say you are sorry.
I'm sure someone comes to mind.
Seek out and find someone in your life you need to thank, and let them know the impact they have made on your life.
Seek out someone in your life to whom you need to express your feelings, and express them, even if it embarrasses you.
Especially, if it embarrasses you.
Then, when that day does come, you will have inner peace.
