We were waiting on the carrage when Katniss grabbed my hand. Suddenly she let go I looked at her and said "keep hold I think I'm going to fall off this thing." as the doors opened to reveal the crowd, it looked as if the whole of the Capitol had turned up to see us. I put on the biggest smile I could muster and waved to the crowd. I caught a glimpse of myself on the giant screens and I realized that I was on fire, quite literally. The crowd were loving us especially Katniss, her eyes were sparkling and she had a glistening smile.
After the parade everyone went back to their floors. That night I dreamt about being back at home in the bakery. But then the bakery set on fire and all my family were dead. I woke up sweating when I heard a scream. I ran to Katniss' room and found her huddled in a ball crying. "come with me." I said. She slid her hand into mine, tears were still streaming down her cheeks as we climbed up onto the balcony. Katniss ran to the edge and looked down at the bright lights of the Capitol. "why are the barriers so low? Couldn't tributes just climb over?" she asked. I picked up a pebble and flung it at the force field. Katniss'eyes followed the small stone as it flew back towards me and I ducked out of the way once again. "there is some sort of invisible force field that flings you backwards when you try and escape." I said.
"it's so beautiful up here with the glow of the Capitol." Katniss exclaimed.
"couldn't agree with you more." I replied. I put my arms over Katniss'eyes shoulders and gave her a hug. I think that at that moment me and Katnissmight have had a small amount of time where we had a special connection.
There is no denying it, I am in love with Katniss.
