Cato was screaming at me to run to the lake. I followed his instructions but something was playing on my mind. Why would Katniss do this? Is she doing this to get back at me for joining the career pack? What ever it was it worked. I heard a cannon fire and I knew one of the careers or Katniss was dead. The thought of Katniss being dead brought tears to my eyes. After bathing in the water for a minute or two I ran back into the forest to see who had died. Suddenly I heard Cato shouting at me angrily and chasing after me with a sword. I ran faster only just beating Cato to the death scene. I saw Glimmer lying on the ground, jabberjay stings all over her body. I looked up and saw Katniss stumbling around everywhere like Hamitch when he's drunk. "run, Katniss,run!" I screamed as Cato grabbed me. He plunged his sword into my leg. I screamed in pain. I grabbed onto one of the spears and hit him over his head, knocking him unconscious. I knew that when he awoke he would be tracking me, trying to kill me for what Katniss did to Glimmer and for what I had done to him. All I knew now was to keep moving but my leg was weak and oozing blood.
My path was full of destruction. I was bashing against trees and plants, Cato will probably find me because the path is so clear. After what felt like forever stumbling around in the forest, I came across a small stream. I lapped up the water and observed my surrounding. I thought to myself about what to do next. I can't fight, I can bearly walk. That's when I spotted the mud. I knew that it would help me survive the games. I dragged myself behind a rock leaving a trail of blood behind me. I got a high score in the training* for camouflage so I knew how to blend in. I started smearing myself with mud. About an hour later I stopped to examine my handiwork. I had done a pretty good job. I laid back and waited for something, anything to happen. I know I could survive for days with no food but I would need some eventually.
Now it's a waiting game.
