The next day Effie banged against my door earlier than usual. When I opened the door and slowly made my way down the corridor, Effie was already banging on Katniss' door shouting "rise and shine, we've got a busy day ahead." Hamitch came staggering out of his room, he'd been drinking again. I felt some anger boiling inside me, he made a deal and had already broken it. As we were eating breakfast Effie said "today you will be having your interviews. Hamitch will be giving you both advise but seperatly."
"why seperatly?" Katniss asked.
"I don't know it's just what Hamitch requested." Effie snapped. I realized why he wanted to see us seperatly. He wanted to talk to me about my love towards Katniss.
After we had finished our meal Hamitch lead me into a small cosy room and I sat on the small sofa. Hamitch sat opposite me and said "this is the perfect time to reveal your love for Katniss."
"are you sure it will work." I asked
"look, you need as many sponsors as possible, if you make a believable love story then people will want to keep you and Katniss alive."
"OK, I'll do it."
