Chapter 55

Josh’s Point Of View

I bought the glass of water up to my lips, quickly gulping down the water. A sigh of relief tumbled out of my lips as the cool liquid traveled down my parched throat.

One of my hands rubbed my temples as the other bought down the glass and set it onto the counter.

I’m never drinking again…

No matter how many times I repeated that same exact statement in my head, even I knew I wouldn’t last more than a couple of days.

When I was awoken in the morning by the brutal banging in my head, it took me a while to remember what had happened last night.  After I had gotten home, it only took a while before Taylor was knocking on my door. Baffled, I let her in, but as soon as I had closed the door and was about to ask what the hell was going on, she had passed out onto my couch.

I glanced from the kitchen to see a body curled up into a tiny ball on the sofa, a blanket engulfing her delicate figure. She blew out small puffs through her parted lips and I couldn’t help but lean against my counter and watch her for bit.

Gosh, she had me whipped.

I groaned once again and rubbed my temple, this was too much to take in this early in the morning, well afternoon.

Once I had sobered up, I realized what a stupid decision it was to pack up my bags and go to the train station. There were still some things I need to do, as in talk to my boss, talk to the owner of this house, it’s on rent, and give him the last payment, etc. To be quite honest, I wasn’t even sure I was ready to leave yet.

The little grunt and squeaking of the sofa shook me from my thoughts, as I craned my neck to see a figure sitting upright on my sofa.

Well this is going to be one heck of a conversation…

~Valerie’s Point Of View~

I had awoken onto a cold, empty bed, and sleepily I reached over to find Niall. It then hit me like a bucket of cold water, he wasn’t here. I have been worried sick since last night, calling, and texting him, and I even almost drove to his house to make sure he was alive and breathing. Although, Harry shook me from my crazed girlfriend plans, I still worried about him. And not to mention that I was pissed, after what had happened last night, I needed him, and he wasn’t here for me.

Niall had spent the last couple of night at my house, and it felt foreign to climb into a cold, empty bed, without his arms to crawl into. I wanted to slap myself for being so dependent on him to fact that I couldn’t even sleep without him being on my mind.

In the middle of the night, I scuttled over to Taylor’s room to give her a cuddle and maybe talk to her for a bit, but she wasn’t there. I had tried calling her, but her phone was off, and I didn’t make much of it. Chances were she was at Josh’s house, or crashed at one of the girl’s houses last night.

So, I resorted in waking up Jacob.

Jake now roamed down the hallways, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, not being able to stop the yawns escaping his mouth due to the fact that I had deprived it of him last night.

I had forced the kid to stay up with me and watch Disney movies, even when he asked to sleep.

I felt a little bad as I watched him practically fall into his bowl of cereal that Jessie had put in front of him.

He tired to stifle a yawn from his mother so she wouldn’t find out that he stayed up most of last night, but he couldn’t help himself.

Jessie sighed, taking his face in her hands, examining his tired expression.
