CHAPTER 11

JONATHAN'S POV

‘Happy birthday Jonathan today is the day. So. Wake. Up!!’
I woke up sweating. I looked to my side and Evan wasn't there. I checked the clock. ‘12 o’clock it read. Did I really sleep through the whole day yesterday?’ I got out of bed and headed downstairs.
‘So where you gonna hide’  I heard his laugh.
‘Great. I thought you were gone.’ I went into the kitchen and I saw Evan sitting on the stool.
‘Jonathan I'm never gone. But anyways Happy birthday.’ He laughed like crazy.
‘Oh shit I almost forgot. Fuck. Now let's see today I'm also meeting their boss so I think I'm good.’
‘You sure about that because he always finds you.’
‘I'm sure about it so shut the fuck up!’
“Helloooo” I saw Evan snapping his finger in front of me. ‘How did he get here quickly one second he was sitting down and the next he's in front of me.’
“Earth to Jonathan.” He chuckled and put his arm around my shoulder.
“So what's up?”
“Oh sorry I was just thinking umm…” I hope he doesn’t know it’s my birthday. “What your boss is gonna think about me.” I said as I took his hand off my shoulder.
“Oh yeah huh. Anyways we're gonna meet him like in the afternoon.” He said as he got a sour green apple from the basket.
“Oh alright then”
“So what do you want to do while we wait” He said as he took a bit of his apple.
I heard my stomach growl. “I want fooooood” I chuckled.
“Alright well we can either go to a restaurant or I can ask Maria to make us food.” He said as he sat in the stool.
“I-“ I was cut off before I could even say anything.
“Actually Jonathan I’m going to take you some place. But first let’s eat breakfast. Maria can you make us breakfast please. Oh and the special kind.” He smiled at Maria who just entered the room. “Yes sir.”
“So Jonathan.” He said as he got closer and smirked. “Why aren’t you wearing a shirt?”
I looked down and ‘holy cow I wasn’t wearing a shirt. How the fuck did that happen.’ I felt his hand on my chest and I was blushing like crazy. I felt his hands move down my chest to my torso. I felt chills go down my back.
“You should probably put on a shirt before we go out. I don’t want anyone checking you out~” He whispered by my ear and nibbled on it. My heart began to beat like crazy.
“I-I wasn’t p-planing to go out like t-this.” I stuttered and slightly pushed him away, looking at the ground.
"It's funny how you just stutter" He said as he chuckled.
“Asshole” I muttered as I turned around and headed upstairs.
“Nice ass by the way” He yelled when I was half way upstairs. I just rolled my eyes and kept going to the room I was staying.
‘The thing that I don’t understand is how. the. fuck did I not have a shirt on’ I grabbed my white shirt which was laying on the floor and put it on. I walked down stairs and the smell of chocolate hit my nose. It smelled so good that I was drooling. When I got to the kitchen I saw a small basket with croissants and hot chocolate.
“Just saying some are nutella croissant.” He said as he sat in the stool.
I sat next to him and began eating.

“Thanks for the food Maria” Evan and I said at the same time. We looked at each other and we just burst of laughter. “I. didn’t. expect you. to say it at the same time as me.” I said in between breathes.
“I didn’t think you were going to say it as well.” He wiped of a tear of laughter and was catching his breath. “Alright well thanks maria. We're gonna head out to see the boss, so you can head home.”
We both headed upstairs and changed into our clothes. ‘I can’t believe Evan is older than me.’ I sighed thinking that I’m actually the youngest in the group.
“Hey you alright?” I felt Evan’s hand on my shoulder and he made me face him. I just stared into those beautiful brown eyes of his.
“Yeah I’m fine. I was just thinking how I’m the youngest in this group.” I chuckled and he pulled me in for a hug. He lifted my mask up and pecked my lips.

“Don’t worry about that because age doesn’t matter, as long as we love each other because numbers or numbers." He smiled "Alright now let’s go since we have a lot of time” He turned around and was walking down stairs. I followed him into the garage and we got into a black and white stingray, it looked so beautiful.
“So what time are we going to meet this ‘boss’ of yours.” I got inside the car and sat in the passenger seat, while he got into the driver's seat and turned on the engine.
“Like around 5’ish I believe.I don't know wildcat told me that’s the time he's gonna be there.”  
“Wait where are we going to meet him anyways.” I faced him.
“Oh well we're going to meet him in our secret base hidden in the mountains.” He said as he got out of the garage.
“Wait you mean like a house in the mountains?”
“Yeah anyways were also going to the mountains, you know to that cool place you showed me. Also cause I brought the book so you can see the other powers ” He smiled but he still kept an eye on the road. We’ll I might as well fall asleep then. I pulled the lever back causing the seat to fall back and I fell asleep.

“Did you actually get food while I was sleeping?”  I splashed water on his face and laughed.
“Hey it isn’t my fault you're a heavy sleeper and that’s not fair! You have powers but I don’t.” He grabbed my wrist and pulled me in for a hug while he was wet. We were laughing.
“Well I’m sorry.” I chuckled. “ Evan?” I got serious.
“Yes Jon?” He made the ‘s’ longer. I looked up.
“I’ll always love you no matter what happens.” I felt like crying but I held it in. ‘Not now Jon don’t cry. We don’t want him to know’ I told myself.
“I’ll always love you as well but why are you saying this?”  He held me by my waist and made me face him.
“Well…” ‘I shouldn’t make him worry. He doesn’t need to know not yet of course.’ “Well your boss of course. I’m afraid of what he might say of me.” I looked to the side of me while he was still holding me.
“Don't worry about that” He chuckled. “I’m pretty sure he'll like you and then you'll be part of our group permanently. Will also do so many fun things together.” He smiled showing his white pearly teeth.
‘Yeah together. I'm gonna lose you Evan, I'm gonna forget you and I won't be able to see you...forever.’ “Hey Ev I want to show you something cool.” ‘I hope it does work’.
“Alright then”
I backed away from him and headed to the pond, which was in front of us. I took a deep breath in and made a water ball on my hand. I blew on it and it turned to an ice ball, I clapped my hand together and it formed into a blue dragon necklace. I turned around to face Evan. “I want you to have this. This necklace will glow if you're ever around me or if we don't see each other for a very long time.” I held my hands out with the necklace.
“It's really beautiful but why? We're still going to be together forever.” I felt weak to my knees when he smiled after saying that. ‘If only he knew’
“Well you know...you never know.” I rubbed the back of my neck and just looked to the side.
