CHAPTER 3

Jonathan's POV

WAIT.....WHAT!? His asking me to be his friend? Is he feeling sorry for me or what? He still has his hand out for like 5 minutes already and I thought he would get tired of holding it up but I guess he's serious.

"So what's it going to be Jonathan"?

"Ummm...." Ugh why can't I just say yes? So I just nod my head up and down.

His eyes went wide when I said yes it was pretty funny and then he grabbed my hand and shook it.

"Great we should get to class then or we can just wait for the next class since we're already late for 2nd period anyways."

"Okay"

We were walking around the hallways waiting for the bell to ring. It was quiet between us which I liked until he spoke.

"Hey Jonathan can I ask something and you don't have to reply I'll understand...I think."

Oh no here it goes he's going to ask why I wear a mask. Oh well might as well say yes or just nod my head.

"Why are you quite? And like I said you don't have to reply"

Wait...are you serious his asking me this question. His very kind though so I might as well tell him.

"I don't like to talk much"

"Why is that?"

"I hardly talked to anyone and also each time I talked someone would punch me and tell me to shut up so basically I only talk when I'm told to talk, so that's why I don't say anything to you c-"

"Cause you're afraid I'm going to hit you?"

"Yeah"

"Jonathan, I'm not those type of people that would punch someone for saying something, everyone has the right to talk and you can't let anyone take your right to speak"

Wow no one's ever told me that before, maybe he is different from all the people I've seen.

"Thank you Evan that really made me happy. Even though you can't see it."

Aww shit I shouldn't have never said that.

"Right because of your mask. Is there a story as to why you wear the mask?"

He really is different like Luke, maybe I can become friends with him. But what about his friends what would they think of me. What if his friends don't like me and they would bully me an-

"Hello Jonathan?"

I must have spaced out since Evan was poking me.

"Sorry I spaced out and quit poking me. You've been poking me the whole afternoon today."

"Oh and sorry but I like poking you it's kind off funny and are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm okay...just a lot of things on my mind right no-

*RING* RING*

"Come one dude time to go to 3rd period."

I wonder what 3rd period awaits me now*sigh* Well at least Evan is with me but then again his popular so he's going to sit with other people...oh well.

"Hey Jonathan wann-"

"Hey Evan sit with us please"

Some girl with dark brown hair and two other girls just took him to their table. Like I said his popular so of course he would go with other people. Oh well might as well sit in the back.
