Harry and I had spent the past week packing boxes and moving them to the new house. Our new house. I didn't know how to feel about owning a house with someone, it was something I didn't see happening for many years, but apparently fate had other plans.

"Desiree could you come here for a second." Harry was currently arranging the new furniture around the living room while I figured out where to put all our kitchen and dinnerware.

Standing in the middle of the room stood Harry with his hands on his hips and his back to me, seemingly in deep thought. When he heard my footsteps approaching he dropped his hands by his sides and frowned down at me.

"What did you need?"

"There's something wrong with this picture and I just can't, for the life of me, figure out what it is!" Harry grumbled, referring to his little layout.

I giggled at his obvious frustration and took a close look at the furniture. He had a television in front of the grand windows, four seater couches on either side of the room facing each other, and a large marble coffee table in between them.

"Harry, why don't we put that TV somewhere else? We've got more then enough space... Plus we do have a screening room in the basement so I don't see the point in having that in here."

Harry placed his left hand on his hip and leaned all his weight on one leg, I had to refrain from laughing at his bitchy little fourteen year old attitude.

"Harry, cut it out and get the television out of here." I left the room and laughed at him while he groaned and stomped his foot. He's such a child sometimes I swear.

"Babe, don't forget my family are coming over for dinner tonight."

I was sitting at the kitchen island enjoying a hot cup of tea, until Harry sprung this new information on me.

"What do you mean 'don't forget'? You never told me." I angrily huffed and slammed my cup on the bench a little too hard. "You need to actually tell me this stuff Harry, I haven't even finished unpacking the kitchen let alone thought about cooking anything."

He came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my neck, making it very hard for me to turn around and look at him.

"I'm sorry I thought I told you earlier." He mumbled into my ear, his hot breath sending tingles down my spine. "But don't stress out about it, my mum and sister are the least fussy people you'll ever come across, and I'm sure they'll love you."

He had tried his best to reassure me but the truth was that I was a little bit scared to meet his parents. They had no idea who I was and then suddenly I'm moving in with their son... And his sister is a whole different story, is she younger? Is she older? Is she a really territorial over her family?

I hadn't been this worried about meeting anyone since my parents tried to set me up all those year ago.

"No, I'm sorry. I just wasn't expecting to meet your family in a matter of hours. What if they hate me? What if they think I'm a bad example or something." Harry's arms were still around my neck so I nuzzled my nose into them.

He let out a throaty laugh at my worry and it made me want to punch him honestly.

"Who's the one running a company based on porn here? If they're accepting of that, then I have no doubt in my mind that they'll be accepting of you."

He removed his arms from around me which made me whimper quietly to myself, but I calmed down once I saw that he was just taking a seat beside me.

"I guess I should probably start cooking now then..." We both looked each other in the eyes deeply, admiration clear as day on the both of our faces.

"You know I love you, right?" His confession had me smiling from ear to ear in no time. I could be in the worst mood ever, but hearing those words fall through his lips brought me immediate peace.

"Of course I do! And I love you Harry. Probably more then you'll ever understand." He furrowed his brows and shook his head disbelievingly at me, like he didn't believe what I was saying.

"Trust me I understand, because I feel the exact same way about you." The room fell silent after that. It wasn't awkward or uncomfortable. It was just silent. After around five minutes of silence while I sipped on my mildly cold tea, Harry announced that he would help me make dinner to which I smiled and thanked him.

It was roughly two hours later when the doorbell rang through the house. All my actions ceased automatically and my panic levels rose with the anticipation.

Harry excused himself from the kitchen and moments later I heard the loud chatter of unfamiliar voices moving closer towards me.

"Harry, this house is absolutely beautiful! How did you find it?" An older sounding woman queried Harry as they joined me in the kitchen.

I seemed to go unnoticed until Harry smiled over at me and started walking toward me. He wrapped on of his arms around my waist and pulled me right into his side as I was cutting the meat from the bone.

"Well first off, Mum, Gemma, Robin... This is Desiree. Des, this is my mum Anne, my sister Gemma, and my mums husband Robin." Harry kept a firm hold on me as I wiped my hands clean on my apron and shook everyone's hand, however when I got to Anne, she smiled profusely at me and pulled me from Harry's grip and into her own embrace. She then held me at arms length and started stroking my hair and studying my every feature.

"She sure is a pretty one Harry. How'd you manage to snatch this one up?" I smiled uncomfortably at her compliment? and silently begged Harry with my eyes to save me from the situation.

Thankfully he understood and removed me from his mothers hands, once again wrapping his arm round my waist.

"Well about the house, Desiree jokingly agreed to us buying a place together if it were an old Victorian mansion... I don't think she knew how serious I was about the whole thing until I brought her here the other week." They all lightly laughed at the situation, curiously eyeing the two of us down.

"How long have you two been together?" Gemma asked the both of us. I looked to Harry for guidance, unsure of how to answer.

"We've been seeing each other for about a year now I think, but it wasn't official the whole time." I was glad that he decided to skip the part where I hit him up to take my virginity. Not the most family friendly conversation out there.

"I hope you know how disappointed I am with you Harry. You should've had us meet each other a long time ago bub. We've missed out on a lot!" Harry's mom was nothing like I thought she'd be and I was so glad that she was so accepting of us.

"I know, I know, but I didn't wan't to push her if she wasn't ready." He squeezed my side and I placed my hand over his chest, just enjoying his touch.

"Anyway, is anyone hungry? Because we've cooked enough to feed a small army."

Everyone laughed at my statement but nodded and followed my and Harry into the dining room. Harry smiled across the table at me, his eyes were sparkling and I was suddenly very thankful for his family stopping by.

"I love you." He mouthed across the table, my cheeks turning a deep shade of rosy red.

I wouldn't normally react this way to his affectionate words, but his sister was sitting right beside him, examining our exchange with a little smirk on her lips.

"I love you too."

The night went by smoothly with no arguments or awkward conversations and I can genuinely say that I felt welcomed by a family who knew nothing about me.

a/n: so I had this story idea, and basically at the start it would all be based on Meghan Trainor's song 'No' and half way through it would transition into Lorde's song 'Magnets'...

I wasn't sure if any of you would be interested in reading it or even better, if someone wants to claim the idea!!! Because it would be really interesting for me to read one of my ideas in someone else's words, if you get what I mean!?

So please please please comment your opinions or if you want to use the idea because I genuinely am very curious!!!!
