*Hunter's POV*

At the sound of the alarm's beeping, my eyes shot open. I looked down to see Aisling still sound asleep with her head on my chest. I smiled and kissed her forehead. Last night had been the perfect last night together. I just can't believe that it's time to go already. We had only gone to bed a couple of hours ago.

I hated to wake her up, but I needed to get ready to leave. I kissed the top of her head once more before shaking her shoulder.

"Ais, sweetheart, you need to wake up," I whispered softly into her ear.

"Mmm but I don't want to," she mumbled, snuggling closer to me.

"It's time for me to get up and get ready to leave," I said.

That woke her up almost immediately. She sat up in bed and pouted.

"Already?"

I nodded. "Unfortunately. But you can join me in the shower."

She smiled and stood up with the sheet covering her. With one hand holding the sheet to her bare body, she stretched out the other one to me. I took it and we ran to her bathroom together.

By time we got out of the shower, I only had fifteen minutes left until the bus would be here for me. We quickly changed and went downstairs. My parents were sitting at the table with Aisling's parents, Chelsea, Paige, Trey and Jordan.

"Well look who finally decided to make an appearance," Chelsea smirked, winking at both me and Aisling.

I laughed and wrapped my arm around Aisling.

"Mornin' everybody!" I exclaimed.

My mom suddenly burst into tears. Concerned, I ran over to her.

"Mama, what's wrong?" I asked.

"You don't sound upset that you're leaving me!" she sobbed.

"Of course I'm upset. I just...I'm excited as well. I can't wait to put on a show where I can actually jump around and get into it!"

She hugged me close to her and started kissing me all over my face. My dad had to pry her off of me after nearly five minutes of it.

"Hunter, do you want to eat before you go?" Aisling's mother questioned.

"I would love-"

"Hello! Anybody home?" Sam's voice interrupted me.

I heard Aisling take in a shaky deep breath. I turned to her and she had tears in her eyes.

*Aisling's POV*

"Ah, there you all are! Good morning!" Sam exclaimed cheerily as he entered the kitchen. "Hunt, I hate to rush you but we need to get on the road as soon as possible. Lance scheduled a show for tonight."

"Alright, just give me a few minutes to say goodbye. I'll meet you out at the bus," Hunter told him.

The tears and emotions were getting the best of me now and I could tell my face looked a mess.

Hunter pulled me into a tight hug and I rubbed my cheek
against his shoulder.

"We'll get through this," he tried to reassure me.

All I could do was squeeze him harder. But unfortunately he had to pry my hands off. With a gentle kiss to my forehead and a sad longing face, he pulled away and turned around to say goodbye to everyone else. Without another word, he walked out the front door.

Desperation filled me and I took off out the door, chasing after him.

"Hunter!" I screamed right before he got into the bus.

My body collided with his in a tight embrace.

"I love you so much," I cried.

"I love you too Ais. I'll be back before you know it," he cooed. "But you're going to have to let me go."

I pecked his lips one last time before letting him go. He gave me a small smile and got into the bus. The engine revved up and soon enough, he was off to another state.

The tears came faster and my sobs became louder until I nearly collapsed on the ground. My daddy picked me up and carried me into the house, setting me down on his lap. I cried into his shoulder just like I was a kid again.

"You'll be alright sweetheart. He'll come back," he murmured. "Until then you'll just have me, your Mama, and your brothers to keep ya company."

"Thank you daddy," I sniffled.

"Anything for my baby girl."

Hunter's POV*

Walking away from her again was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I nearly told the bus driver to stop when I saw her crying her little eyes out. My poor baby does not deserve this. I just wish it was different with us.

But as much as I hate leaving her, I know I have to and I know I want to. I need and want to get back out on the road. If I had it my way, she'd be coming with me to share this amazing experience.

"Hunter, stop sulking and start looking over the schedule for the tour," Lance's voice interrupted my thoughts.

I sighed and joined the guys at the table to discuss the upcoming shows.
