My phone rang and I picked it up, seeing that Jace was calling me. Making a face of disgust, I answered it.
"What." I snapped, more than a little pissed off. I heard a jagged breath before someone who most definitely was not my brother answered.
"You need to get to Jade Wolf, now." I heard Clary said shakily. I scoffed and exited the room, leaving Izzy to herself, and walked to mine.
"And why would I do that?" I asked annoyed.
"Because your brother might be dying." She said, choking back a sob. I stopped mid-stride, and took a deep breath, a sarcastic smile on my face.
"Great. I'll be there soon." I said before rushing to my closet. I was currently wearing a pair of pink, fluffy pajama shorts and a black tank top. I quickly changed into a pair of black leggings with a cut-out lace panel going down the side, a maroon crop top, and maroon high heeled booties. I threw my hair up into a ponytail before rushing out of my room and to the institutes portal, after grabbing weapons, and portaled to Jade Wolf. I arrived in seconds, now standing a few meters away from the entrance. Huffing, I made my way to the door and threw it open. Clary was in my line of sight and I marched up to her, an annoyed look on my face.
"What the hell happened?" I demanded, catching sight of some old man staring at me. I glared, my blue eyes narrowing. Clary's eyes widened considerably.
"It was a demon, he got stung and his rune isn't healing him." The old man spoke, answering for Clary.
"Who the hell is this? Does Jace literally pick up every stray he finds?" I hissed, glaring at the both of them. Clary fidgeted and looked away awkwardly while the man looked at me intrigued. I rolled my eyes when they didn't answer before slapping Clary across the face.
"Ow! What was that for!" She yelled in pain, holding the left side of her face.
"Oh you know what that's for! Now where the hell is my brother!" I hissed. She pointed to a door and I shoved past her, going threw them and following the passageway to where I believed him to be. When I made it to an open room, I caught sight of Jace looking deathly pale. Marching up to him, I wrinkled my nose in disgust.
"Your pathetic." I hissed, knowing he had gotten in this position by helping Clary. He groaned but nodded, knowing it was best to agree with me. Noticing the iv hooked up to him, I followed the tube to see a blood bag and raised my eyebrow.
"Let me guess, vampires?" I said, trailing my finger across the bag slightly as I looked at my brother disappointed. He nodded, taking it out as the bag was now empty. I grabbed the first aid kit and wrapped it, covering where the demon originally got him as well. I laid down next to him, turning into his warmth slightly before closing my eyes. I hadn't got much sleep, and right now I honestly did not care. I felt Jace's arm hold onto my body and pull me closer.
"Jace?" I whispered, continuing when I heard him hum in reply.
"Who's that old man with Clary?" I asked curious. I felt him stiffen before answering.
"He's our father." Jace said stiffly, causing my eyes to fly open.
"Our father is dead Jace. That man is not him." I said sad yet mad at the fact Jace would say something like that. My fathers death affected me greatly, I was so depressed and just overall not myself after it. I ignored his next words, not hearing them as I let sleep take over.

Jace watched as Silver winced in her sleep, realizing that her nightmares still happened. He looked at her worried but was brought away from it when his father entered the room. Jace looked at him, the sound of the door closing catching his attention. Luke was with him, looking deep in thought.
"How are you?" Luke asked, stepping a tad closer than his father did. Jace shifted, shrugging slightly.
"Better I guess." He said closed off. Not many had bothered to ask that question for a long time, and it felt foreign to Jace. Luke nodded before glancing at Silver and leaving. Jace's father took a step forward, glancing down at the sleeping girl that was nestled into her brother.
"Who is that? Your girlfriend?" He said, genuinely curious. Jace made a look of disgust before looking down at his older sister in.
"No. That would be gross, she's Silver." He told him, not looking up to meet his gaze and missing his reaction. Henry, Jace and Silver's father, tensed immediately and he looked at the blonde in a way he had never looked at anyone else. Silver was always his favorite, everyone knew this. Perhaps it was because she reminded him of a certain someone, but Henry had always had soft spot for his blue eyes daughter.
"Oh." He said shocked before turning around and walking back to Clary.
Jace watched his father leave, catching the fact that his face had softened noticeably. Jace frowned slightly, knowing his father would always favor his sister more. The girl that could do no wrong in anyone's eyes, Silver Wayland was a perfect soldier and a perfect daughter.
