I shot up, a scream emitting from my mouth. Multiple footsteps could be heard coming to my room. The door bursts open, a group of people coming in and looking relieved. Max came running up to me, throwing his arms around my neck and hugging me. I hugged back, laughing slightly.
"What's up Silv?" Mex said while I gave him a kiss on the cheek. He blushed while grinning.
"Nothing much, babe." I said laughing, Alec and Izzy's parents doing the same. Max and I are "dating". The boy had a huge crush on me and how could I resist. Alec raised his eyebrow, sharing a look with Izzy.
"What's my boyfriend been up to lately?" I asked, Max siting next to me now. Max giggled at this.
"Not much."
"Max, your father and I have to do something. I trust you won't bother Silver?" Alec's mother said. Max nodded before hopping off my bed and out the room, Mr. And Mrs. Lightwood following after.
"So your dating my little brother now?" Izzy asked with a grin.
"Of course, we're planning a June wedding for next year." I said jokingly. Izzy laughed, before looking at Alec and leaving the room. I crossed my arms, looking at Alec with a raised eyebrow.
"Can I help you with something?" I said sassily.
"Uh, no-um, I was just-yeah." He stuttered out before turning around to walk out of the room, only to walk into the door frame. I let out a bark of laughter, swinging my legs off the side of the bed and standing up. I walked past him, patting him on the chest while laughing mockingly.
"Don't hurt yourself hon." I said before continuing down the hallway.
An hour later I was in the tech room, about to be walking down the hallway that led out of it, when a portal opened and Valentine exited from it. I grabbed the Chinese ring daggers I had in an instant, throwing it with speed a few moments before an arrow was released. The Chinese ring dagger lodged into Valentine's shoulder, the arrow being caught and thrown to the side. I had another dagger in my hands, in a throwing position when Valentine stopped and pulled up his sleeve. He next pulled out a stele and ran it over a rune, I watched as Valentine slowly faded away and my best friend replaced him. My eyes widened, seeing her wince as her shoulder moved. Lydia smiled at me slightly before going serious again and marching up to Alec. I followed, knowing this was going to be entertaining.
"This place is abysmal." She said before her gaze flickered between Alec and I for a second.
"Expect you two." I smirked catching Alec's attention.
"I'm Lydia Branwell, envoy from the clave." She said before turning to me in a dramatic way, now that the institute was no longer watching.
"It seems like forever since the last time I saw you." I said while placing my hand on my heart. She did the same, smiling widely.
"I know darling, feels like century's have past." Lydia spoke with a fake accent.
"It seems abysmal." I spoke, mocking her. At this we both broke out in a fit of laughter. I pulled her into a hug, holding her tightly.
"It's been what, four days since I've seen you? I don't know how you lasted, Lyds." I said in a regular voice now. Lydia rolled her eyes at this and Alec looked even more confused.
"You know each other?" He asked.
"Of course!" I exclaimed, holding onto Lydia protectively.
"We're engaged after all." I added on.
"Seriously?" Alec said while sounding slightly pissed.
"Yes, we're getting married, adopting Max and moving to Canada." Alec looked like he was about to kill me. I laughed once, a coy smile slipping into my face.
"Kidding, but we are best friends. I'm the weird one." I said before letting Lydia go, picking Max up and running off with him.
