I was jolted awake by Clary, my eyes instantly narrowing.
"What the hell do you want?" I hissed at my supposed sister. She looked taken back but held out a torn piece of cloth.
"It's from the book of the white. Magnus tracked its owner, we can wake our mother." She told me, my eyebrows raising in confusion.
"Your mother." I corrected. "You can wake your mother. I know who my mom is, and Jocelyn is most definitely not her." Clary looked down, sadness overwhelming on her features.
"Silver, Valentine is your father and Jocelyn is your mother. Whatever you thought before, it's not true." Clary said frustrated. I licked my lips before smiling sarcastically.
"Okay, let's say Jocelyn is my mother. Why the hell would I want anything to do with the women who left me with a monster and never thought twice about it, never even bothered to find me or Jace!" I yelled at her, my anger rising. Tears stream down Clary's face as my words dig into her. "I will never be your sister Clary, no matter what my DNA says." I hiss before getting out of my bed, careful not to wake my parabati.
"Silver-" Clary started.
"No! Shut the hell up and get out!" I screeched, not caring about my sleeping friend. Clary did so, letting out a chocked sob. I slammed the door shut after her, leaning my forehead against it. I bit my lip, blinking away the tears that were desperate to fall.
"Silver, you need to listen to her. Jocelyn is yours and Jace's mother, and from what I know it sounds like she thinks you two are dead." Izzy said softly, resting her hand on my shoulder comfortingly. I turned around and fell into her embrace, both of us sinking to the floor.
"She left us. She left us with a monster." I cried out. "She didn't even bother to check if we were alive!" At this point I was screaming, my emotions taking over. Izzy hugged me before standing up, pulling me with her. She wiped the tears from my eyes before smiling at me.
"Your Silver Wayland, the girl who can get through anything. You can get through this my parabati. But you still need to get through life, so get out of the wedding dress and get ready. We have a mission to complete." Isabelle said before leaving my room, most likely going to her's to change. I calmed my breathing before slipping off the dress, hanging it up, and walking into my bathroom. I undressed completely, taking off my undergarments, before getting into the shower. I took a quick shower before getting out and drying off. Wrapping the towel around me, I went back to my room and pulled on a clean pair of underwear. I then put on a cutout body suit with leather leggings, and a pair of thigh high leather high heel boots before ruffling up my hair and leaving my room. I found the group positioned around the computers that showed the security camera footage and became confused. I pushed past Clary and Alec, leaning against the back of Izzy's chair to see what they were looking at. I turned to Jace confused.
"What happened now?" I questioned, instantly knowing something bad had happened.
"Lydia was attacked when she was packing. The person stole the mortal cup, and we think it's Hodge." Jace said emotionless, but I could tell he was hurting. I scoffed at him.
"Hodge? Wasn't he the one who pretty much brought the three of you up? The institute sure knows how to pick them." I said, muttering the last part sarcastically. Alec nudged me, silently telling me to shut up. I rolled my eyes at him, turning back to the screens. Izzy rewinded the footage, going on about how Hodge would never do this to us. It sounded like a bunch of shit to be honest, and it was. When the footage played, it showed who had attacked Lydia, quite clearly. Hodge had did it, Hodge had done the unthinkable and actually gone against us. He was a traitor and if it came down to it, I wouldn't think twice about putting him down. I left after the video, going to check up on Lydia before meeting with the others at the institutes doors. They had made a plan after I left, Jace and Alec going off on their own while Clary, Izzy, Simon, and I went to find the book of the white. I had obviously objected but my vote was out ruled, so here I was, in the basement of Hotel DuMort with Izzy and some vamp as Clary and Simon snuck about.
"So these are all of Camille's things?" Izzy questioned.
"All I could find, but she has hideouts all over the city." The vampire spoke, drawing in my interest.
"Interesting." Isabelle said, causing me to hum in agreement.
"I thought you were looking for a spell book." The vampire said, causing me to glance at Izzy.
"We are." I replied.
"We? Where are your friends?" We stayed quite, sharing glances.
"Did you really think this stall tactic would work?" He asked. Izzy pulled out her whip, speaking before whipping it in his direction.
"No, but I thought this would." I couldn't help but laugh when it completely missed the vampire.
"Typical shadowhunters always underestimating a vampire." He said cockily. Izzy whipped at him again, missing him by a long shot. This time he was gone for good, and we waisted no time before getting the hell out of the hotel.
I heard the vampires through the brick wall, smiling at Izzy before drawing a rune on the wall and kicking it in just as Raphael, the vampire, commanded the others to kill Clary, Simon, and Camille. I stepped through the whole, Izzy following me in. I smirked at the vampires as they tried going past the sunlight.
"Seriously guys?" Izzy asked, taunting the vampires in a way. I walked closer to Raphael, still in the sunlight.
"Typical vampire always underestimating a shadowhunter." I said, running a finger along the side of his face mockingly before stepping back and following Clary, Simon, Camille, and Izzy out of the hotel.
